WAUWATOSA MONTESSORI SCHOOL
November 15th Newsletter
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community:
We had joyful learning experiences going on in our learning environments this week. Please see pictures of the Upper Elementary and Adolescent Program Nature’s Classroom Institute trip and our on campus Montessori experiences from this week! Thank you to all of the staff and parent chaperones that made the off campus and on campus experiences so meaningful for our students. We also were honored to host the American Montessori Society Director of Teacher Education, Melina Papadimitrou and Global Montessori Educators Institute Program Director, Linda Loomis for lunch, a tour, and classroom observations today. A group of our UE students prepared a special song with Ms. Hollander to perform for our guests (and a lunch and dessert). Our guests toured Ms. Yifan, Ms. Brown, Ms. Shannon and Mrs. D’s beautiful Montessori classrooms and shared that our students are very polite and enthusiastic about learning!
Further, our school became recognized as an American Montessori Society Verified School! Please check out this video (Wauwatosa Montessori School.mp4) from the American Montessori Society recognizing our school and join me in recognizing the amazing work of our team. At Wauwatosa Montessori School, we are committed to upholding the core components of Montessori education: child-directed work, properly trained Montessori teachers, multi-age classrooms, use of Montessori materials, and uninterrupted work time.
