HCS APACHES UPDATES ๐๐
MR. JOHN FOPPE IS COMING TO HCS!
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10! More details to come.
We are excited to announce that our middle school students will have the special opportunity to hear from inspirational speaker, author, and Catholic, leader John Foppe!
Born without arms and facing significant health challenges at birth, John learned early on to rely on faith, perseverance, and determination to navigate lifeโs everyday obstacles. He earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University, authored the acclaimed book Whatโs Your Excuse?, and has served as Executive Director for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in St. Louis.
Drawing on his deep faith and powerful story of overcoming physical limitations, John will speak to our students about recognizing their God-given value, overcoming self-imposed limits, and answering the call to serve others with courage.

50's DAY IN KINDERGARTEN ๐ฉ
On Monday, Kindergarten celebrated the 50th Day of School with a 50s day. Students dressed up in 50s clothes, we had a diner and ate cheeseburgers and root beer floats, and did math activities with 50. We looked at pictures of things from the 50s and talked about how different things were in the 50s. We enjoyed the music from the 50s and did lots of dancing.

It's going to get stinky!
Under the direction of Mrs. Woodrome, our students are going to see the natural progression of rotting food. A great lesson in composting, decomposition, etc. Thanks to all who donated buckets, and thanks to Mrs. Austin for donating the pumpkins and squash!
