Brief Message From the Principal

Welcome to Week 3!

We had another great week last week, and we are excited to keep that momentum going! As we begin Week 3, our student focus is ATTENDANCE and COURSE PROGRESS.

Attendance matters! Every day and every class period count. Consistent attendance keeps students on pace academically and moving toward graduation. Students, make it a priority to be present, on time, and engaged every day.

This week, continue making progress across all of your courses, including:

Face-to-Face and EOC courses
CTE Distance Learning courses
Edgenuity courses
Dual Credit courses

Edgenuity Update: Students who want opportunities to add additional Edgenuity courses as they complete their current courses should make sure they are completing their Edgenuity goal-setting and daily progress tracking. Know your daily goal, track your progress, and stay focused on course completion. The more consistently you work, the more opportunities you create to accelerate your progress toward graduation.

Remember: Attendance + Daily Progress = Credits Earned + Graduation Progress.

Let’s make Week 3 another focused, productive, and successful week at RMA Pasadena!

🎉 RMA Pasadena Is Now a B-Rated Campus! 🎉

We did it, RMA Pasadena! We are proud to announce that RMA Pasadena has earned a B rating! This achievement belongs to our entire RMA Pasadena community.

Congratulations to our students who showed up, worked hard, and demonstrated what they are capable of achieving. Congratulations to our teachers and staff whose commitment, instruction, encouragement, and persistence helped move our students forward. Thank you to our families for trusting us with your students and partnering with us throughout their educational journey. And thank you to our community partners who continue to invest their time, resources, opportunities, and support in our campus and our students.

A B is something to celebrate—but it is also evidence of what is possible when a school community works together with purpose.

We are proud of how far we have come, excited about where we are going, and ready to keep building.

Congratulations, RMA Pasadena! This B belongs to ALL of us! 💜💚

REIMAGINE. RECONNECT. SUCCEED.

💡 Did you know?

Did you know that arriving after 8:10 AM can put your Period 1 credit at risk? Students arriving at school after 8:10 AM are marked absent for Period 1. Students who arrive late more than four times during the term may automatically lose credit for Period 1.

Remember:

Continue submitting excuse notices/documentation for all absences.
Students may have up to four excused absences per term.
Excused absences are not additional allowable absences. They are included in the total number of absences permitted for the term.
Arriving on time matters just as much as showing up. Be here, be on time, and protect your credits!

Attendance matters. Every day. Every period. Every credit.

💼 Career Readiness & Employment Initiative

Career Readiness & Employment Initiative

Hard Work Pays Off—and Opens Doors!

Because of their dedication and strong performance during Term 4 last school year, two RMA Pasadena scholars have earned the opportunity to receive personalized support in finding employment!

Through the Career Readiness & Employment Initiative (CR & EI), RMA Pasadena connects eligible students with real-world learning and employment opportunities. The program recognizes students who demonstrate strong attendance, academic progress, positive behavior, and career readiness.

Student performance is evaluated based on:

Attendance of 90% or higher
Successful course completion and credits earned
Positive behavior and discipline
STAAR performance
TSI readiness
Completion of Xello activities
Age and credit requirements

The CR & EI Committee reviews eligible students and makes recommendations. Final opportunities depend on student performance, principal approval, and employer availability.

Congratulations to our two scholars! Your hard work has positioned you for this exciting next step.
