Cameron Ranch Falcon Connection
March Edition 2025
Greetings Falcon Community,
As we step into March, I hope this message finds you well and filled with anticipation for the exciting events we have planned through the spring months!
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We look forward to our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on Mach 11-14, which are also minimum days, with a 12:20 dismissal time. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to work together to support your child's learning and development. Please be sure to schedule your appointment with your child's teacher, as we value your insights and collaboration in fostering a positive educational experience.
Scholastic Book Fair
During school conference week, we will host the highly anticipated school book fair. Be sure to swing by the fair before or after parent conferences to check out the selection. During March 10-14, come experience the limitless possibilities with your kids in the library. In-person shopping hours are Mon-Wed 9am-3pm and Thurs-Fri 9am-2pm. Adult volunteers needed!
Don’t forget to set up your student’s eWallet account for cashless, stress-less shopping. Friends and family can even contribute funds! Set one up here
Spring School Clubs
Spring Clubs are coming up! Please register using the links below. When registering, please be mindful of overlapping clubs to avoid dual enrollment.
Family First Friday Meeting
I would also like to invite you to our Family First Friday Meeting on March 7th @ 9:00 in the school library. This gathering will be a valuable opportunity for us to discuss ideas on how to utilize our newly acquired funding to enhance support for students in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. Additionally, we will address strategies to combat chronic absenteeism, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Your input is essential as we strive to create an impactful plan that benefits all our students.
Women's History Month
March is Women's History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women throughout history who have shaped our world for the better. Here are a few inspiring examples:
- Marie Curie: The first woman to win a Nobel Prize, Curie's groundbreaking research on radioactivity has paved the way for advancements in medical treatments and scientific understanding.
- Rosa Parks: Often called the "mother of the civil rights movement," Parks' courageous act of defiance helped ignite a movement for racial equality that continues to inspire us today.
- Malala Yousafzai: A passionate advocate for girls' education, Malala's bravery in the face of adversity has sparked a global conversation about the importance of education for all children.
As we celebrate Women's History Month, let us take the time to reflect on the incredible contributions made by women in our community and beyond. We encourage families to engage in conversations at home about influential women and their impact on our lives.
March brings opportunities for students to discover more about their place in the world by learning how Our Families are Important. Educating students about different families fosters understanding, empathy, and appreciation for diverse backgrounds, helping them build strong connections and respect for one another in their community.
