Headteacher's comment
It’s been another lovely week in school! Our after-school activities have been in full swing, with children enjoying Art Club, KS1 Basketball and Year 6 Boosters — it’s wonderful to see so many pupils taking part with such enthusiasm.
Next week promises to be another busy and exciting one as we celebrate Science Week and Red Nose Day, as well as welcoming parents and carers into school for Parents’ Evening on Thursday. There’s still time to book your appointment using Arbor — if you need any help with this, please pop into the school office and we’ll be happy to assist.
Have a super weekend,
Mr Mitchell

Collective Worship
Listen
This week in Collective Worship, we read the picture book Listen, which tells the inspiring story of Evelyn Glennie, a deaf musician who transformed the world of percussion. After losing her hearing as a child, Evelyn learned to “listen” through vibrations in her body and went on to become one of the world’s most celebrated percussionists. She was the first person in the UK to pursue a full-time solo career as a percussionist, has performed with major orchestras across the world, and has won multiple awards for her music, including a Grammy Award. Her story helped the children see how determination, creativity and resilience can enable people to overcome challenges and achieve remarkable things.
In class worship, we explored this theme further by learning about Mandy Harvey, a singer and songwriter who lost her hearing as a young adult but continued to pursue her dream of making music. Throughout this half term, our worships are focusing on people with disabilities who have shown courage, resilience and determination. As a school, we are committed to helping our pupils grow into respectful, compassionate and knowledgeable individuals who understand the importance of inclusion and recognise the strengths and achievements of all people.

Survey for Church Service Attendance on Thursday 26th March 2026
We understand that a sense of community within our Church of England ethos is an important part of the work we do, therefore, we are exploring the possibility of inviting parents / carers to our church services.
In order to work out if this is feasible and to help us consider the structure of how this could work, please can you complete the short survey below if you would be interested in attending our next church service on Thursday 26th March.
Please complete this survey by Friday 13th March.
Please note - this is a typical church service and not a 'performance' of any type by the children.

Parking Consideration Reminder
We kindly ask parents and carers to avoid parking in front of residents’ driveways when dropping off or collecting children. There have been several recent reports of driveways being blocked, causing inconvenience to our neighbours. Please park considerately to help keep good relationships within our school community and ensure everyone’s safety.
