Brief Message From the Principal

Welcome to Week 7!

This week is about one thing: FINISHING TERM 1 STRONG!

As we move into the final stretch of Term 1, now is the time to complete courses, finish assignments, and earn the credits you have been working toward. Do not allow unfinished work to follow you into the next term.

Students, remember:

COMPLETE your Edgenuity courses. Being “almost finished” does not earn the credit. Push courses across the finish line!
FINISH all Face-to-Face assignments. Check with your teachers for anything that is missing or incomplete.
STAY CURRENT in CTE and Distance Learning courses. Complete outstanding assignments and make sure you are meeting course expectations.
Be present and on time. We need you here every day so that we can help you finish.
Ask for help NOW. If something is standing between you and completing a course or assignment, connect with your teacher or counselor immediately.

Every completed assignment matters. Every completed course means another credit earned and another step closer to graduation.

Attendance + Completed Assignments + Completed Courses = CREDITS EARNED + GRADUATION PROGRESS!

Let’s make Week 7 our strongest week yet and CLOSE OUT TERM 1 ON A HIGH NOTE!

📝 Edgenuity Trackers ✍🏻

Students must complete an Edgenuity Tracker every day for each assigned Edgenuity course.

For every Edgenuity class, students must:

Log in to Edgenuity daily.
Record the course-completion percentage at the beginning of the Edgenuity period.
Work consistently throughout the period.
Record the updated course-completion percentage at the end of the period.
Repeat this process for every assigned Edgenuity course.

To complete a course within a nine-week target period, students should make a minimum of 3–4% progress in each course every day. Students who want to fast-track their progress should complete two or three times the minimum daily percentage.

Students requesting a new Edgenuity course must present their completed trackers to the counselor. The trackers will provide evidence of consistent daily progress and course completion.

Teachers are not obligated to unlock assignments for students working from home if those students are not consistently using their Edgenuity Trackers.

Remember: New Edgenuity courses may be assigned only through Week 7 of each nine-week term.

Daily tracking and consistent progress are essential for students who want to complete additional courses.

💡 Did you know?

Did you know that RMA’s half-day schedule is designed to help you move toward graduation faster—but only if you complete your courses?

Students are provided at least four courses each term, and successfully completing those four courses is the minimum expectation.

Four courses = staying on pace. Completing four courses with grades of 70% or higher, while also meeting attendance requirements, generally keeps you moving along a traditional graduation timeline.
Want to FAST TRACK? Complete MORE than four. If you are behind in credits from previous school years, completing only the minimum may not be enough to catch up.
You can add courses through Week 7! According to RMA’s FAST TRACK guidelines, students may add new courses through Week 7 of each term. If you finish a course early, don't stop—talk with your counselor about adding another course and continuing to earn credits.
Course completion matters. Completing fewer than four courses during a term can put you further behind your desired graduation timeline.
RMA is designed for acceleration. The half-day schedule gives students an opportunity to complete courses, recover credits, and move toward graduation faster.
Know YOUR graduation plan. Depending on your current credits and rate of course completion, simply maintaining the minimum pace could mean attending RMA for three or even four years.

Don't just attend RMA—take advantage of what makes RMA different. Complete courses. Add courses. Earn credits. FAST TRACK your graduation!

Not sure whether you're moving fast enough to graduate when you want to? Email Ms. Valenzuela and ask her to review your current pace and desired graduation timeline.

💼 Career Readiness & Employment Initiative

Career Readiness & Employment Initiative

Hard Work Pays Off—and Opens Doors!

Because of their dedication and strong performance during Term 4 last school year, two RMA Pasadena scholars have earned the opportunity to receive personalized support in finding employment!

Through the Career Readiness & Employment Initiative (CR & EI), RMA Pasadena connects eligible students with real-world learning and employment opportunities. The program recognizes students who demonstrate strong attendance, academic progress, positive behavior, and career readiness.

Student performance is evaluated based on:

Attendance of 90% or higher
Successful course completion and credits earned
Positive behavior and discipline
STAAR performance
TSI readiness
Completion of Xello activities
Age and credit requirements

The CR & EI Committee reviews eligible students and makes recommendations. Final opportunities depend on student performance, principal approval, and employer availability.

Congratulations to our two scholars! Your hard work has positioned you for this exciting next step.
