All families are invited to meet with homeroom teachers during our interview sessions on December 4. We strive for high attendance during these conferences. Children need to know that we all care about the quality of education they receive. When we all work together, everyone benefits.

First term student progress reports will be distributed on Tuesday, December 2 and Family/Teacher meetings are scheduled for Thursday, December 4, from 11:30 – 6:00 pm. Students will be dismissed at 11:05am on Dec 4 to facilitate those meetings. We will be using the online OPTIS system for the scheduling of appointments and have included instructions for the Optis system here. The OPTIS system will open to parents/guardians on Monday, December 1 at 1:00PM. and close on Wednesday, December 3 at 5:00. If you have difficulty signing up for an interview with the OPTIS system, please contact your child’s teacher. We encourage all parents / guardians to make a special effort to schedule an interview with your child’s teacher. The website for OPTIS is here.

The Holiday Season is upon us and we always do our best to help our families in need from our RRE community. If you are able to send a toy, Christmas gift or gift card for our Holiday Drive we will ensure that it will reach a RRE family in need.

There will be lots of fun and excitement at we celebrate Holiday Spirit Days at RRE!

Join in the fun and celebration of family and friends by joining our December Bedtime Read Aloud on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00PM.

With the cold weather and snow/ice coming soon, please remember to send your child to school dressed in appropriate clothes. We aim to go outside most days for lunch play and your child’s teacher may also be planning learning activities outside. Please let us know if you need any extra clothing for your child. We have some here at school and would love to help our families! The visual below can help you determine what your child needs to stay warm outdoors.

All students will need indoor sneakers left at school for the winter. It is not safe wearing wet boots in school or running around in the gym.
