Dear SGMS Families,

We’re off to a great start in the 2025–2026 school year! 🐺 A big thank you to all the families who came out for our Timberwolf Welcome and Back-to-School Night—it was one of our largest turnouts in years.

Now we need your feedback: only 18 families have completed the survey so far (and while we’re grateful for those 18, we need to hear from everyone). 📝 Our goal is at least 80% participation so we can keep improving.

👉 Click here to take the survey. Together, we’ll keep our Timberwolves growing strong! 🌱

📅 No School – Tomorrow, Monday, September 1st

Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend with your family! 🎉

🙏 Thank You + PTSA Membership

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for Transition Day: Parent Edition on Monday, August 25th. Your involvement helps set the tone for a strong and successful year for our Timberwolves.

As we move forward, we invite every family to partner with us by joining our amazing PTSA. We are striving for 80% family participation this year! Your membership helps us fund important initiatives, strengthen our community, and enrich the school experience for all students.

💚 Fundraising Opportunities

This year, we have two exciting ways for our community to support SGMS and raise funds for student needs:

* 🍿 Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser

    • Date: Sunday, September 8 – Thursday, September 12
    • Start Time: The fundraiser will officially open on September 8th at 5:00 PM.
      • Details: Our Event Code is IQLYIH to set up your own Pop-Up Store and begin selling on September 8th.
      • Video Guide: Click here for a short video —it’s quick, easy, and fun!
    • Incentives:
      • Students and Families: Top seller wins a $40 gift card.
      • Staff: Top seller will enjoy a special recognition day with flexibility later in the year. 😉

* 👕👟 Clothing & Shoe Drive

    • Donate gently used clothing and shoes in the large bin at the school entrance.
    • SGMS earns funds based on the total weight of donations.
    • Consider cleaning closets for items that are too small or too large. Donations can be dropped off anytime.

Every bag of clothes and every bag of popcorn sold helps us grow opportunities for our students!

Together, we are “Rooted in Growth” and ready for a fantastic school year! Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community.

A Grateful Principal

Shenice Brevard
