Exciting Growth in JDub Youth Ministry!
Something wonderful is happening in JDub Youth Ministry—our youth are inviting their friends, and it’s making a big difference! Over the past two weeks, we’ve had a great number of first-time guests join us. Each new face reminds us that God is at work, and that this group is a place where youth feel comfortable and excited to bring others along.
But here’s the important part: when new guests show up, it’s vital that our regular JDub youth are here too. Every smile, handshake, and “Hey, glad you’re here!” helps first-time visitors feel welcomed and at home. Together, we create an environment where new friends not only feel included but also want to come back and grow in faith with us.
We’re so thankful for the courage and excitement our youth have in inviting others. Let’s keep that spirit alive! And let’s make sure when those friends walk through the doors, they experience the love, joy, and community that makes JDub Youth so special.

Middle Schoolers Need for Acolytes
Serving as an acolyte is a wonderful way for middle school students to grow in their faith while playing an important role in the life of the church. By carrying the light of Christ into worship and assisting in the service, acolytes learn responsibility, develop leadership skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how worship connects us to God and to one another. This hands-on opportunity helps students see that they are not just the “future” of the church, but an active part of its ministry right now. Whether at the 8:30 or 11:00 service, acolyting allows them to contribute in a meaningful way, while also strengthening their confidence and sense of belonging in the church family. We encourage you to click the link below to sign up your child to serve as an acolyte and take part in this meaningful ministry.
Pumpkin Arrive Sunday Sept 28
It’s almost pumpkin time at John Wesley, and we need all hands on deck! Our pumpkin truck will be arriving on Sunday, September 28 and again on Sunday, October 12, both right after the 11:00 worship service. As soon as the truck pulls in, we’ll get to work unloading, and many hands will make light (and fun!) work. To say thank you, we’ll have food for everyone who stays to help, and each volunteer will also receive a special pumpkin t-shirt! In addition to unloading, we also need volunteers to help sell pumpkins throughout the season. Sales happen in easy two-hour shifts, and it’s a great way to meet people, share smiles, and support our youth ministry. Use the link below to sign up for a sales shift, and make plans to join us for the unloads—we can’t do this without you!
