Halloween Spirit Day – Friday, October 30th!Join us in celebrating Halloween with a Spirit Day! Students are encouraged to wear costumes to school on Friday, October 30th. This is a fun opportunity for everyone to show creativity and school spirit.
To keep the day safe and enjoyable for all, please follow these costume guidelines:
No hoods
No masks
No weapons or weapon-like accessories
No full face paint
Costumes must be school-appropriate and not disruptive to learning
We’ll be highlighting fun individual and group costumes during lunch, with prizes for the winners!
Let’s make it a spirited Halloween celebration!
Attention Juniors and Seniors
On November 17 a select group of students will be able to attend a field trip to the Dudley Courthouse. This trip is intended for juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement, law or a related field. If interested, please see the guidance google classroom for more information.
Class of 28 and 29
Class of 2028 and 2029, Class T-shirts and sweatshirts are now available. T-Shirts are $15.00, sweatshirts are $30.00. Order forms are available at the class store during lunches.
Attention Class of 2029
please make sure you are paying your class dues. They are $35.00 each year. All dues mush be paid in full prior to any senior activities. They help pay for proms and senior activities. They can be paid online through UNIPay or by cash or check, paybable to the class of 2029. See Ms. Benoit with questions.
NAHS
National Art Honor Society will have our next meeting Tuesday November 3rd. We will meet in room 219 afterschool. It is important to attend as we sill be making our fundraiser. If you can't attend please see Mrs. Hines or Mrs. Lashua.
Pumpkin Painting Contest
Students and Staff: We are having our annual Pumpkin Painting Contest on Friday October 30th in the cafeteria. Make sure you vote on you favorite pumpkin during your lunch. Students get bragging rights and a prize for the top 3 pumpkins. Think about creativity, craftsmanship and effort when voting. We hope to have a great selection for you to choose from. Happy Halloween!
STUCO
STUCO Members! We will have a full-body meeting in the library on Wednesday, November 4th, at 2:20 pm. The meeting will end by 3 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Retake Orders are In!
If you had photo retakes your images and student IDs are available to be picked up in the guidance office.
DCRSD Athletics Registration is now open for 2026-27 Winter and Spring Athletic teams.
ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES MUST BE 100% REGISTERED IN ORDER TO TRYOUT (completed final forms and Physical Submitted to Nurse).
A coaching staff will be officially named at a later date. Please email codonnell@dcrsd.org with questions. Attached is further information on registration items.
Unipay Online Payments and Concussion Examinations deadlines will be within the window after rosters are finalized, and prior to the first scheduled scrimmage or match.
Fee waivers will only be eligible to those on reduced lunch waivers with DCRSD Food Services.

Don't forget to buy your 2026-2027 Yearbook! We have sold out for the last 4 years!
3. Class of 2027 Seniors
Please make sure that you visit the Shepherd Hill Yearbook Website for up-to-date information for 2027 Seniors. You must share this information with your photographer for your Senior Photos, which are due 11/6 and must be submitted via Google Form. Seniors should also join the Class of 2027 Yearbook Google Classroom. I will also post information on the Class of 2027 Google Classroom page.

4. Monthly Photo Contest
Share your photos with us and you could win a $10 off coupon to use towards the purchase of your yearbook! Share them with ShepherdHillYearbook@dcrsd.org or DM us on our Instagram page ShepherdHillYearbook. Each month, the photo with the most votes will win! Please make sure to include the event, your name, and school e-mail when submitting the photo.
