Dear Families,
As we prepare for our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences, we want to share a few important details to ensure the event runs smoothly for everyone. Please note- sign up for conferences has closed and we are full.
Progress Reports Sent Today
Please check your inbox—an email was sent out today from the district with your scholar’s progress report attached. We encourage you to review this with your child prior to your scheduled conference time. If you cannot access the report follow these steps:
- Log in to the parent portal at https://district65.powerschool.com/public
- Choose Student Reports on the left side.
- Click on the report titled 2026-2027 6-8 Standard Based Progress Report T1 to view your student’s progress report.
Conference Guidelines & 5-Minute Hard Stop
Each scheduled conference is 5 minutes long. This brief window provides just enough time for teachers to review your scholar’s performance in class, benchmark results, and other key assessments.
Strict 5-Minute Limit: Because our teachers are booked back-to-back, every session will have a hard stop at the 5-minute mark.
Respecting Time: This policy ensures we honor our teachers' professional time as well as the schedule of the families waiting for the next slot. We appreciate your partnership in keeping all appointments on track.
Inquiries and Email Response Timelines
If you were unable to secure a conference appointment and have emailed a teacher directly, please allow a 72-hour courtesy window for a reply. Our teachers are working full days through 7:15 PM during conference sessions. To respect their personal lives and maintain a healthy work-life balance, I expect our staff to turn off their email work notifications once they leave the building each evening. Additionally, teachers are off this Friday and Monday and will return to school on Tuesday. Realistically, if you reach out via email about conferences, and you have not heard back by Thursday, you should expect to hear back on or around Tuesday, October 13.

Just an FYI, the sign up is now full for Morning Mentors, there are no more spaces available. YOU still has space for students for their after school program, which runs every day Monday- Friday. Part of their program is supporting students academically. If interested, please contact YOU.
