Gayman Gazette
June 9th Edition
Message from your Principal:
As we enter our final days of school, summer is just around the corner. The Gayman faculty and staff would like to extend our sincere thanks for a wonderful 2025–2026 school year. Your continued support, partnership, and cooperation throughout the school year have been greatly appreciated.
On behalf of our entire team, I am grateful for the kindness, encouragement, and understanding you have shown. Gayman is such a special place because of the strong sense of community we share. Each of us—staff and families alike—plays an essential role in supporting our students’ growth and success. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community and for partnering with us in the education of your children.
We would like to offer a special congratulations to our fifth-grade and sixth-grade students as they take the next step to middle school. We are proud of all they have accomplished and wish them continued success in the years ahead. To our returning families, we hope you enjoy a restful and fun-filled summer, and we look forward to welcoming you back for the 2026–2027 school year, our first year with full-day kindergarten and a K-5 structure.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
Respectfully,
Shawn Ortman

End of the Year Picnic- Thank you:
Thank you to all of our Gayman families who came out to the end of year picnic. There were lots of smiles, laughter and fun! Thank you to the EOY Picnic Committee and all of the parents who donated and volunteered.
Outgoing Thank you!
As outgoing President and longtime editor of the yearbook I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of the parents. Being able to watch your children grow up through the years while capturing the memories has truly been one of my most favorite things. I'd be remiss if I also didn't thank the amazing teachers and staff that have continually supported GHSA and all of our activities and asks. To my board and all of the parent volunteers, I truly appreciate you. Without all of you the fun things we bring to the kids would not be possible! I wish the incoming board an amazing year and wish all of you a fun, happy and safe summer. Gayman will always hold a special place in my heart! We wish our graduating 6th and 5th graders an amazing middle school experience. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. - Tracy DiCanto
