Beaubien Elementary Weekly
Week of January 6
January 5, 2025
Dear Beaubien Families,
Welcome back, and happy New Year! We hope that you had a wonderful and relaxing holiday break. As we start the new year and return to school, we are excited to continue the journey of learning, growth, and community together.
The start of the new year is a great opportunity to set goals and embrace new challenges. Our dedicated staff is ready to help all students reach their full potential and make this second half of the school year a successful one. We are grateful for your support and the strong partnership we share in providing a positive and enriching experience for every child.
Important Reminders:
- Arriving on Time
Punctuality is key! A smooth start to the day helps everyone get into their routines and set the tone for the day ahead. Please make sure your child arrives on time, school starts at 7:45 AM. All side doors will close at 7:50 AM. If you arrive after this time, please use the main entrance to sign in. - Dress Warmly
As we face the cold winter months, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor activities. We will have outdoor line-ups and recess whenever the āfeels likeā temperature is 20 degrees or above, so coats, hats, gloves, and scarves are a must! - Stay Involved
Keeping track of your childās progress is essential. If you havenāt already, I encourage you to sign up for the CPS Parent Portal to easily monitor your childās schoolwork and updates. Directions can be found HERE. - Safety During Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Please continue to be mindful of safety during arrival and dismissal. Your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and safe drop-off and pick-up process is greatly appreciated.
Weāre excited for whatās ahead and look forward to working together to make this a great year for our students. Thank you for your continued partnership, and we are so happy to have your family as part of our Beaubien community!
Hereās to a fantastic start to 2025!

We asked the students in Room 305 āOur School Beaubienā. Each student was able to write one line to make up this poem.
Our school Beaubien
With doors everywhere
Where Mrs. Ludford is friendly and sweet
Where Mrs. Fly is energetic like a 1st grader
Beaubien-the place with wild teachers fancy and smart
Where Mr. Sarcona reads and writes
Where Mrs. Fly is always buzzing around to help
Beaubien helping us grow like a redwood tree
Where the gym is a house of fun
Where Mr. Sarcona is nice and cool as ice!
Beaubien is fun like a playground
Where Mrs. Pesch is funny and nice
Where Mrs. Fly is fun and forgiving
Beaubien a school with different cultures
Where some teachers are like jaguars and watch your every move
Where Ms. Arroyo is smart and helpful
Beaubien is like a book of knowledge
Where children are laughing in line
Where teachers are fun, but if thereās homework-run!
Beaubien-a school with paw prints littering the walls
Where Philip the Ferb should always remain in 206
Where students waltz up and down the halls
Our school Beaubien!
