Be Responsible, Be Polite, Be Safe
August 2025
Admin Announcements
Dear Parents,
We’ve had a great start to the school year! I have loved getting to meet all our new friends and see the smiling faces of our returning friends. Today we had our PBIS kick-off with the Air Elite basketball guys. It was a great way to remind our students that we need to Be Responsible, Be Polite, and Be Safe.
This is a friendly reminder about our morning drop-off procedures to ensure a safe and efficient start to the school day for everyone.
Please note that the car rider line ends promptly at 7:45 AM, and school officially starts at 7:50 AM. To help us maintain a smooth flow of traffic and ensure the safety of our students, we kindly ask that you remain in your vehicle during morning drop-off.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a safe environment for our students.

Coach Mc's Minute
Hello! Connections have begun and it is SUPER important that you and your child know what day or days he or she will go to P.E.! In order for your child to participate safely, tennis shoes MUST be worn. If a student is not wearing proper shoes, he or she will only be able to walk during class. If you are unable to provide tennis shoes for your child, please contact Dr. Farmer.
It is going to be a great year in the Kolton Gilley Gym!

Character Education Trait
Character Education Trait for August is The Big 3. In preschool and PreK, this looks like being a
good friend, doing the right thing, and always trying your best. In grades K-2, students are
learning to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize their potential.
Introduction to the School Counselor
Welcome to RPS! I am excited about this school year and the opportunities it offers in working
with your child. As a school counselor, I am an educator trained in school counseling, just as
other educators are trained in math, science, or language arts. My job at RPS is to develop and
implement a comprehensive school counseling program designed to meet the needs of every
student. School counselors work to help all students develop personal/social skills, academic
skills, and career skills that will aid them throughout their educational career and in life. I am
here to help and support you and your family. You may refer your child when you see a need. I
am always glad to talk with you and discuss the counseling program further or any areas of
concern.
Cub Care Information
Looking for after-school care? Ringgold Primary's "Cub Care" program offers a fun and engaging environment for students from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM each weekday. Children participate in activities like organized playtime, creative arts and crafts, and age-appropriate games.
A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $5.00 will be applied upon their first stay. Please note that enrollment is necessary before your child can attend. Cost of the program is $4.50/hr (discount for siblings), billed in 30 minute increments. The full itemized breakdown of prices is located in the Handbook available in the office if needed.
Kindly ensure all information on the registration form is complete and signed. After enrollment, you have the flexibility of choosing full-time or part-time care. For part-time attendance, just send a note to your child's teacher on the days needed.
