Report Cards - Promoted/Retained?

Your student's report card when finalized this week, will be available in Powerschool. They will also be printed and ready for item pick up on Thursday/Friday.

The Governor had declared that due to many schools inability to ensure we have remediated, etc. that all students would be promoted this year. He also declared that parents have the option of retaining their child. Parents wishing to retain their child need to put that in writing to Mrs. Sauer prior to July 1st. asauer@southsidecharter.org.

The school only has about 7 students that we were recommending that the student be retained and we will be speaking to those families individually this week.

Phase 2: Recommit Part II DUE NOW TO SAVE YOUR SEAT

Phase 1: in January, we completed phase 1 of the recommit process. 97% of our students are returning for 2020-21 school year

Phase 2: New this year in CSUSA, for the second step in the process, parents/guardians will complete an online Re-Enrollment Packet for returning students. This allows us to collect updated student demographic data, receive parent/guardian consent, and emergency contact information closer to the start of the school year. By completing this step, we will have fewer updates needed for emergency contact information in August/September.

You should get an email like this...

If you are receiving this letter it's because you recommitted your student(s) to return to DCSS for the 20-21 school year. Phase 2 of the recommit process begins today, 5/4/20. All recommitted students must complete this process in order to be fully enrolled to return to DCSS for the 20-21 school year. Please visit our enrollment website, SchoolMint https://csusa.schoolmint.net to complete the re-enrollment process.

Please reach out to the enrollment administrator, Cece Zamora, if you have any questions.

Coke Rewards

Save your codes from coke box sleeves (found inside) or your coke lids. You can enter them online to support DCSS, or send them in and we have a volunteer who regularly enters them for us! https://us.coca-cola.com/give/schools/

Boxtops

Please still clip and send in any box tops you find, but also start scanning your receipts for box tops. Some will give you a frown face of no points found, but some receipts are a gold mine! One parent recently got $12.60 in one scan for DCSS! https://www.boxtops4education.com/

SchoolStore.com

Sign up your student at schoolstore.net and then start your online shopping each time from the schoolstore.com website and DCSS gets a percentage of your shopping! There are also options for donations, or teacher gift cards, but most importantly it is a portal to then launch your normal online shopping! Once you have your child's page, bookmark it to then use for online shopping https://www.schoolstore.com/
