Eisenhower's Fun Run
WE DID IT, EISENHOWER! THANK YOU!
Our Eisenhower Fun Run is this Monday, and we are beyond excited to share that we not only met our fundraising goal, but EXCEEDED it! Together, we raised an incredible $16,595.00!!!
We are so grateful for the generosity and support of our amazing Eisenhower families, friends, and community! Because of YOU, we will be able to provide additional resources, engaging learning opportunities, special activities, schoolwide celebrations, and memorable experiences that benefit ALL of our Eisenhower students. Your contributions help us continue to make Eisenhower a place where students can learn, grow, and SOAR!
We're not done yet! We will continue accepting donations through Friday. Please keep sharing our Fun Run with grandparents, family members, friends, and neighbors. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and allows us to do even more for our students!
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for investing in our students and making our Eisenhower community so special! We can't wait to celebrate together on Monday!
Young 5 Visits Deneweths
Last week, our Young 5 class visited Deneweth Garden Center. Students will explored six interactive stations featuring pumpkin life cycles, pumpkin decorating, a kid-friendly spooky train ride, corn maze, straw mound, games, and even enjoyed cider and donuts! Each child brought home their own decorated pumpkin and a special craft.
FHS Homecoming Parade
On Friday, October 9th our Student Council members participated in the annual FHS Homecoming Parade. It was a great way to start the weekend!

Book Fair News
Eisenhower's Book Fair is coming October 26-30th. If you are interested you can preorder Diary of Wimpy Kid or Dog Man books.
Mrs. Holtyn will be sharing detail on the book fair with classes soon. Here is the flyer. Students have the option of setting up an ewallet or paying cash.
Second Step
As you know, in September we kicked of the Second Step Curriculum in all K-8 classes to further strengthen our social and emotional learning. Second Step offers weekly, age-appropriate virtual lessons for students to help them with a variety of social and emotional skills. These weekly lessons build on and support all of the great work we're doing at Ike to support our students. Combined with our schoolwide restorative practices and consistent PBIS expectations, we are creating a firm Tier 1 foundation for supporting all of our students' social, emotional, and behavioral development. This week, each grade-level will begin a new unit. Please view the grade-level home links below to learn more about what your child is learning and how to support them at home during the second unit of Second Step. K-5 Unit 2 home links

October is Red Ribbon Month
Red Ribbon Week: October 23–31
2026 Theme: “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.™”
Red Ribbon Week is a time for schools and families to encourage healthy, positive choices. At Eisenhower, our celebration will begin Monday, September 28 and continue throughout October, leading up to a week of activities from October 26–30.
Wear Red Mondays: Students are encouraged to wear red on September 28 and October 5, 12, 19, and 26. We’ll also share Red Ribbon announcements on those days.
Learning and activities: In HEART classes, students will discuss healthy habits and positive choices and make a pledge to live drug free. Students in grades 1–6 will complete the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs unit during October. All students and staff will receive red awareness bracelets to wear during Red Ribbon Week. Each school day from October 26–30, five students wearing their bracelets will be randomly selected to win a prize—25 winners in all!
Spirit days, October 26–30. -SEE BELOW...
Poster contest: Students in grades 4–6 may choose to create a Red Ribbon poster. HEART teachers will collect entries, and winning posters from each grade will be displayed in the district during November.
Thank you for helping our students make healthy choices and celebrate Red Ribbon Week!

Halloween Around Eisenhower
- Parade: A short "Halloween Parade" will take place beginning at 10:00AM on Friday, October 30th. Weather permitting, we will parade out of the building and around the bus loop. Our Y5s & kindergarten students will lead the parade around each classroom and then out around the building. All are welcome to come and watch our costume parade outdoors!
- Classroom Activities: Classrooms/grade levels will be planning for Halloween activities and celebrations individually, either before or after the parade. If teachers request parent volunteers to help facilitate the classroom activities, all volunteers will have to submit a Background Check.
- Costumes: Students may come to school in costume on Friday, October 30th. They can stay in costume for the duration of the day. Costumes need to be school appropriate and cannot depict violence or excess blood/gore. No fake weapons are allowed in school (i.e. toy guns, swords, blades, etc). Costume masks can be worn for the parade, but not throughout the day. For costumes that have short skirts/shorts, leggings or pants need to be worn underneath.
Fraser's Multi Tiered Support System - MTSS
At Fraser Public Schools, we recognize that every student learns differently, and we are committed to helping all students succeed! Our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) provides academic and behavioral support based on each student's individual needs. Through ongoing assessments and progress monitoring, we work to ensure students receive the right level of support to help them grow and thrive.
Please take a moment to review the attached letter from Fraser Public Schools to learn more about MTSS, the different levels of support, and how we partner with families to support student success.

6th Grade Students Set Goals for Success
Our 6th grade students have been learning the importance of setting meaningful goals and creating a plan to achieve them. Students were introduced to the idea that a goal is something you aim for with a specific result you want to accomplish.
During our goal-setting lessons, students learned that effective goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, and connected to a realistic timeline. They discussed the importance of knowing exactly what they want to accomplish, setting a deadline, and being able to recognize when the goal has been achieved.
Students were taught a step-by-step process for reaching their goals: set the goal, break it down into manageable steps, and monitor progress along the way. By breaking larger goals into smaller steps, students can make progress while staying motivated and accountable.
We explored examples of goals across many areas of students' lives, including math, ELA, personal and life goals, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and making new friends. This helped students understand that goal setting is a valuable skill that can be used both inside and outside of the classroom.
To help students identify areas for growth, we used information from their STAR Testing results, math and ELA exit tickets, and Reflex results. Students were able to use this data to better understand their current performance and identify specific areas where they can improve.
Our goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who understand that success doesn't happen all at once. With a clear goal, a realistic plan, consistent effort, and regular monitoring, students can make meaningful progress toward achieving what they set out to accomplish.
