🟩 Attendance Corner
We are proud to celebrate our 189 students who participated in our 2nd trimester perfect attendance celebrations! Students enjoyed fun rewards like popcorn and even got to pie two of our teachers, Mr. Macias and Ms. Campos!
As we head into our 3rd and final trimester, we’re raising the excitement—any student who achieves 95% or better attendance will earn the chance to SLIME Ms. Mandler and Ms. Clarisa! And remember Mr. Isaac counts tardies. Let’s keep showing up and finishing the year strong!
💃 Folklórico Pride Shines at DELAC 💃
Our folklórico dance group proudly represented our school at the district’s DELAC (District English Learner Advisory Committee) meeting with a beautiful dance performance. Their hard work, talent, and cultural pride were on full display as they showcased traditional movements and vibrant energy for the audience. We are so proud of our students for representing our school and community with excellence!

Real-World Voting Experience Inspires Student Voice
Our 4th and 5th graders recently took part in an exciting, real-world learning experience through a collaboration with SafeBallot. Fourth graders stepped into the role of candidates, campaigning for the title of “Best Class” by creating posters and delivering speeches, while fifth graders practiced critical thinking by casting informed votes. SafeBallot brought their official voting system to campus, giving students the opportunity to use real voting devices and experience the election process firsthand. The winning class, Ms. Machado’s class, celebrated with a pizza party. Both grade levels also attended an inspiring assembly featuring SafeBallot founders Elijah Johnson and Donatella Johnson. Students also heard motivational words from a representative of Lamborghini, who showcased the newest model, the Lamborghini Temerario, leaving our students motivated and inspired.

👪 Family Engagement
The Power of Family Engagement
We kicked off the month strong with a focus on family engagement and connection. We welcomed a visit from the Mexican Consulate, who shared valuable information with our families on topics such as dual nationality, DACA, and employee rights. Families interested in learning more or making an appointment can reach out via WhatsApp at (619) 915-6787. We also proudly recognized our parents who completed the Dino School Parent Classes and earned their certificates. Congratulations on this accomplishment! A new session of classes has already begun, and we invite all parents to join us on Wednesdays from 8:00–9:00 a.m. in the TRR. In addition, our moms came together to celebrate International Women’s Day with a breakfast potluck, and during Coffee and Chat with Clarisa, we discussed important school topics and welcomed a guest speaker from the Boys and Girls Club.
