DRESS CODE EXTENSION
This week's forecast looks to be unseasonably warm so we are extending the chance for students to wear shorts for one extra week. The final day to wear shorts this calendar year is Friday, November 6th. Students will be permitted to wear them again during April 2027
EVERY STEP A YES!
Our Walk-a-Thon & PE Challenges begin MONDAY, November 2!
It’s time for our Rams to put their faith into action as they complete laps and PE challenges to help send HCS alumna Josephine Kline to World Youth Day 2027 in South Korea!
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Students should bring their sponsorship/pledge forms to school beginning Monday so they can record their completed laps and challenges during PE class.
Donations aren’t due until Wednesday, November 11, but we’d LOVE an early check-in! Please share your student’s current pledge total so we can track our progress toward our $5,000 schoolwide goal and keep the excitement growing!
There’s still time to gather sponsors! Every lap, basket, volley, and sponsorship brings us one step closer!
Her YES is her journey. Helping her get there is OUR mission!

EXCITING NEWS FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION
ARCHERY IS COMING TO HCS!
We were very fortunate to receive funding for the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) this school year. This means our current 8th graders will receive 10 instructional sessions from Mrs. Harrell during the second semester. Current 7th graders (next year's 8th graders) will also participate in Archery next school year.
VIRTUE OF THE MONTH
⭐ GROWING VIRTUE AT HOME IN NOVEMBER - GRATITUDE
November's Virtue of the Month: Gratitude
This Month's Virtue
Our November virtue is Gratitude: recognizing that every good gift comes from God and responding with thankful hearts. Remember: Every Blessing Is a Gift. Today, say “thank you”—and mean it.
Our HCS Theme
See God's Image. Show Love, Respect, and Fairness.
🏡 This Month's Family Challenge: Week One | Notice the Gifts
Family Mission: At dinner, each family member shares one specific blessing from the day.
💬 Family Conversation Starter
What blessing surprised you today?
📸 Ram Family Spotlight - "Show us your virtue in action!"
Send us a photo or short story of your family practicing this month's virtue. Throughout the year we'll feature Ram Families who are living their faith beyond the classroom.

Every Blessing Is a Gift: Gratitude reminds us that everything we have—our families, friendships, opportunities, talents, and faith—is a gift from God. When we begin to notice these blessings, our hearts naturally turn toward thanksgiving. And when we recognize how generously God has blessed us, we are inspired to share those blessings with others.
Take action this week: Each day, identify three specific blessings in your life and thank God for them. Consider sharing one of those blessings with someone else.

they're formed through ordinary choices made with great love."
