HMS Community Read, November 14th, 7-8pm in the Hopkinton Middle School Library
Jacqueline Woodson’s Harbor Me
Please join us for the inaugural HMS Community Read on November 14th from 7 - 8pm in the Hopkinton Middle School library. We will begin the evening with a fun activity that gets us thinking about the characters in Harbor Me, and then will engage in a “quick write” to further our thinking before we end the evening with a discussion. We suggest choosing a discussion question from those included at the end of the book that you’d like to talk about or perhaps sharing a question or an idea about the novel that you have been thinking about. We are excited about this event and we hope that it will serve to further grow our “active community of strong minds and kind hearts” at HMS.
Our Community Read is an opportunity to make connections with one another and to celebrate diversity, creativity, and respect. All readers in your home are welcome to attend! If you will be able to join us, and have not yet done so, please fill out the HMS Community Read RSVP form.

Art Supply Drive
Aishwarya Vijay, a junior at Hopkinton High School, is running an art supply donation drive in an effort to make art kits for children in need. These kits will be distributed to children at Project Just Because, a local food shelter and charity organization in Hopkinton. Any art supplies in good condition (pencils, crayons, markers, coloring books, erasers, etc.) are welcome!
