Major's Minute

Last week, as a family we did our best to do a "deep clean" of our house - clear out closets, wipe down baseboards, get the gunk out of the sliding door rails, scrub the bathtubs ... but nothing could have prepared me for the refrigerator! Only after taking out all of food and drawers of the refrigerator could I see just how disgusting the fridge had become. Sauces and food spilled and settled behind and under drawers formed thick, sticky, hard to remove gunk. Anyone losing their appetite? It was bad.

But after cleaning the refrigerator and putting everything back together, we really had sense of peace and order. Looking back every once in a while on what was, will make us thankful for what is now. Remember who we were before Christ and see what God has done in our lives should make our every day more ordered, at peace, because we know we are cleansed and new creations in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Praise God for our newest Junior Soldiers .... Praise God for our newest Junior Soldiers ....

It takes a village ...

We're so proud of our newest Junior Soldiers: Carson Needham, Brooklyn Moorhead, Azzlyn Edens, and Ariella Edens. They bring us so much joy! We acknowledge that it takes this whole church investing in their lives by saying "hello", smiling, encouraging, guiding, and teaching them. We appreciate Sunday school teachers, Joshua Needham and Sharri Serrato who prepare for the youth before church. We are also very thankful to the Junior Church leaders Karina Ruiz, Julie Mikesell, and Elaine Zumaya who taught all of their Junior Soldier Lessons. We recognize that youth leadership is fun AND challenging - to God be all the glory!

Another blessed couple of weeks .... Another blessed couple of weeks ....
