Hello Barrett Families!

In our World of Wonders curriculum, students are on Unit 7 - Animals. Attached are some great ideas regarding how you can engage your child with what they are learning about in school! Our focus letters are Xx, Vv, Jj, Qq. Students will be learning about different types of animals! For Character Strong, students are focusing on Courage for the month of April! Please talk to your child about what it means to be courageous!

Please check your child's backpack daily! There are many backpacks that have not been checked for months. There are important papers, projects, etc. that are inside of your child's folder that need to be emptied daily. Thank you!

IMPORTANT FROM THE NURSE:

If your child needs pain/fever medication in the morning, he/she cannot attend school that day! Your child must be fever free/diarrhea free for a minimum of 24 hours without medication! This is school/district policy and will not be compromised. We want to ensure that we keep our staff and students healthy. Thank you for your cooperation.

As part of our World of Wonders unit, which focuses on animals, my students recently had the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning as young scientists. They explored pictures, fossils, and animal bones, using magnifying glasses to observe details closely. The students then sketched what they observed, applying their creativity and scientific thinking.

I wanted to share a few photos of this activity with you to highlight their enthusiasm and engagement during this lesson. It was wonderful to see their curiosity come to life as they explored the world of animals in such an interactive way.
