Key Items from the May 28 Meeting
In accordance with HB96, HHCS has reviewed and revised attendance procedures for planned implementation in 2026-2027. Student attendance is vital to success, and therefore the focus of the revised procedures is prevention and communication with students/families that exhibit attendance concerns. Anticipated approval of the revised procedures is set for June.
A new high school language arts resource for 2026-2027 was presented by the curriculum department. After a lengthy collaborative review of standards, alignment, pilot program assessment, and opportunity for feedback, this resource was selected and will be requested for approval in June.
Purchased service agreements were approved with Instructure (transcripts) and Warren County ESC (student services)
The AI Playbook presented on May 14 was approved. This provides a framework for students and staff to appropriately integrate AI tools into the classroom, instruction, and learning.
The Board approved a number of personnel items to close out the year and in preparation for next school year.
Russ Fussnecker was hired as the interim superintendent for HHCS, beginning July 1, 2026, and running through July 31, 2027.
