We are excited to launch our new online volunteer application for the school year! If you’re interested in volunteering on campus this year — whether in the classroom, at events, or on field trips — you’ll need to complete the new online application before participating.
👉 Here’s what to do:
- Visit http://bit.ly/3KaZjE1 to access the application or use the QR code. (Please note that the link and QR code are unique for Pomerado.)
- Complete all required sections and upload all requested documents. Applications will be denied if ID is expired or TB is not within 4 years.
- Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Volunteer applications need to be submitted every year — even if you were cleared last year. If you were a Level II volunteer last year, you’ll need to complete a Level I application this year to renew your status.
If you turned in a TB test previously, you can pick it up from the office or email us and we’ll send you a copy. TB documents are also uploaded to your student’s records and can be found in ParentVUE under student documents.

Restaurant Night Thursday October 9th
Join us Thursday October 8th for Restaurant Night at Harney Sushi in Poway. It's an easy and delicious way to support the 5th graders as they raise money for their end-of-year activities. Just mention you're with the Pomerado Elementary when you order, and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the class.

Want to help make the magic happen? This event is parent-run, and we’re looking for volunteers to help plan, organize, and run the festival. Whether you enjoy decorating, coordinating games, managing food stations, or simply lending a hand, there’s a place for you! Volunteering is a fun and meaningful way to connect with other families and be part of something special. We are also looking for donations to help make this the most memorable event of the year!

💥 New Comic Book club starting!
We’re excited to launch a brand-new Comic Book Club for 3rd–5th graders—a fun and inspiring space where students can dive into the world of comics while building their reading, storytelling, and creative skills. Through art and collaboration, members will explore how comics come to life and work together to create some of their own!

Spots are limited, so be sure to submit your child's interest form by October 10! If interest exceeds capacity, we may use a random selection process and consider offering two sessions during the year to accommodate more students. More details will be shared with families soon.
