We are not to give out bus passes until the end of October at the soonest. This means students may not get on another bus besides their normal bus, even with parent permission. Thank you for understanding.

To better understand how our students are feeling about school, we'll be giving social-emotional learning (SEL) surveys this fall and spring to students in grades 3-5, as well as to staff regarding their students at all grade levels.

These quick 15-minute surveys ask students about important topics like:

• How safe they feel at school

• Their sense of belonging in our school community

• Their relationships with classmates and teachers

• Their overall school experience

When: Sept. 28 - Oct. 16

What it helps us do: Identify ways to make Oak Brook an even better place for learning and growing

More info will be coming to sign up your kids to participate and to donate candy (instead of food pantry items) this year.

The Parkway Quad will be held at South High on Saturday, October 10th, 2026. The course is similar to last year’s Quad that was held at Parkway South. It is a flat, fast, and spectator friendly course!

Schedule: 7:30 am- Coaches meeting at starting area

8:00 am- 3-5th Grade Boys/Girls Elementary Mile Fun Race

8:30am- 6-8th Grade Boys/Girls Elementary Mile Fun Race

9:00 am- Varsity guys 5k (10 runners max)

9:30 am- Varsity girls 5k (10 runners max)

10:00 am- JV Boys 5k

10:30 am- JV Girls 5k

11:00am- Freshman 5k- Boys/Girls

Timing- TRXC Additional notes - Athletic.net will be used to register runners. Registration closes Thursday, October 8, 2026. - Trainer will be on duty and stationed near the finish line - There will be no trophies or individual medals awarded. Our playgrounds will be complete with inspections around the middle of November now. We know that this is not ideal but it is out of our control. The track, field, blacktop, b-ball court, and part of the back playground are available until then though! Also, our wonderful PTO has purchased and solicited donations for recess items besides the normal balls and jump ropes which will be available every day also!
