Ohio State Testing
Kidder Elementary
Dear 3rd Grade Families,
The achievement tests tell us how well the students are growing in the knowledge and skills outlined in Ohio’s Learning Standards. The Ohio State Tests help guide and strengthen future teaching so we can be sure we are preparing our students for long-term success in school, college, careers, and life.
Students in 3rd Grade will take assessments in ELA (English/Language Arts) Part 1 and Part 2. Click here to access online practice tests.
To help your child be successful and ready for these tests, please make sure your child:
Has a good night’s rest before the testing day.
Eats a healthy breakfast.
Has a working set of HEADPHONES already at school.
Has a fully charged chromebook.
Extra pencils at school to use on scrap paper.
Arrives on time as tests start promptly at 9:15am each day in the homeroom (if late, the student will be in the Library until testing is complete & will complete a makeup in the afternoon).
❗Due to the nature of online testing - if at all possible, please refrain from scheduling or picking up your student on testing days. Once a student starts a test, he/she is not allowed to go back to those testing questions if they leave for an appointment, etc.
If you have any questions about this year’s state testing, you can contact the office or your child’s teacher.
