Pursuant to state law, Prosper ISD requires parental consent for instruction on this lesson. This was part of the back to school forms you filled out during the enrollment process. All students without an opt in will not participate in the lesson.

These lessons will take place from October 26- November 13.

We will hold parent previews of the lessons for K-2 only. Please take a moment to read over the parent letter for each grade level to learn more details.

  • Attendance - Please make sure that that you are logging all absences into Skyward as well as uploading any doctor note you may have.
  • Please bring your student car tag to dismissal. If you are late or do not have your car tag, you will need to check your child out at the office with your ID. Please make sure that you have all of your emergency contacts in Skyward. If they are not listed in Skyward, they will not be allowed to pick-up your child.

  • Dismissal changes - If you need to change your child's dismissal for the day (how they typically go home), you need to notify the office before 1:30 pm. Please do not solely email their teacher as they may not see the email until after dismissal. Additionally, if you have an older student as well, the office needs to be aware of the dismissal change for both. We can not rely on the older sibling to let them know. This is for the safety of all the kiddos.

  • Headphones: Send headphones with your child’s name on them please. No wireless headphones or USB plugs.

  • HOMEROOM APP: Please download this app - CODE will differ per teacher.

  • Please put a change of clothing in your child’s backpack.

  • Please pack snack separate from lunch and make sure your child knows as well.

Is your child struggling with coming to school or with homework?

Here's how we can help:

  • Create a consistent homework routine: Set aside a few minutes each evening for reading, practicing letters and sounds, or reviewing math skills. Celebrate your child’s effort and progress!

  • Communicate with your child’s teacher. If your child is struggling with school or homework, please reach out. We are here to support your child and work together to make learning a positive experience.
