Students who were approved for free or reduced-price meals at the end of last school year will continue to receive meal benefits for the first 30 operating days of the 2025–26 school year, or until a new eligibility determination is made, whichever comes first.

To ensure uninterrupted meal benefits, families must submit a federal meal application for the 2025–26 school year. Students without a current application on file after the 30 day grace period will change to full-paid eligibility status effective September 23, 2025.

If your household has already submitted an application for the current school year, no further action is needed. For those who still need to apply, the federal meal application can be completed online at www.schoolcafe.com/pisd.

Applications will be processed within 10 business days, and eligibility notifications will be sent via email. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive the message in your inbox.

Our goal is for every Jaguar to attend at least 90% of the school year. The more students are in class, the more opportunities they have to learn, grow, and succeed.

Jaguar of the Month (September)

At the end of the month, teachers will select one student from their room that best demonstrated that trait to be their Jaguar of the Month! These selected students will receive a certificate, picture take and displayed on bulletin board, a special wristband, and a popsicle party with admin and counselors! Yay!

Jackson is committed to highlighting our students who serve as positive role models by exemplifying our campus student expectations. Each day, students have the opportunity to earn "Jag Brags," which promote financial literacy and responsible behavior, as well as "You've Been Spotted" awards. On Mondays and Fridays, the Administration Team recognizes students who have been acknowledged by staff members. Please stay attentive for these recognition's and celebrate our students' positive contributions.

Welcome, Jackson Elementary Families! 🏫

We're so excited to partner with you this school year! Our goal at Jackson Elementary is to create a nurturing environment where learning is paramount, strong character is built, and accountability is reinforced for everyone.

This year, we're focusing on investing in ourselves as a school community. We're using innovative instructional strategies to promote student growth and celebrating every step of our students' progress. We also want to get our families more involved in creating a culture of inclusion and success for all. We believe that by working together, we can achieve great things!

We'd love for you to join us at our next Site-Based Improvement Committee (SBIC) meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a firsthand look at our school's goals, see how they align with the district's vision, and learn about the "pillars" that guide our work.

Our meetings are open to the public, and we encourage you to come with your questions and ideas. Please join us for our second SBIC meeting in January. We look forward to seeing you there!
