R.G.Sinclair Public School
Newsletter #1
Dear Sinclair Families,
I am excited to be part of the wonderful R.G. Sinclair community! Thank you for the warm welcome I have received. I look forward to getting to know you this year!
We hope you enjoyed a fun and relaxing summer! Staff were excited to meet our new students and to welcome returning students back to school. Students are adjusting to the routines a new school year brings.
We received word from the Board's Staffing Committee that our tentative school organization has been approved; this means we do not have to reorganize classes.
We have a number of new staff who will be with us for the first term. We welcome Ms. M. Lee (Grade 1/2) who is covering for Ms. Richards, to Mme J. Lee who is covering Core French for Mme Proud, and Ms. Carlsson (Grade 3/4), covering for Ms. MacDonald for the first term. We are pleased to share that that many of our support staff have also returned. Welcome back Ms. Munhall, Ms. Malott, Ms. Gee. Ms. Millard and Ms. Lefevere. Ms. Nadon is our Evening Caretaker is filling in for Mr. Gordon.
Wishing you an exciting year of fun-filled learning experiences ahead!

Student Safety
Parents should remain in the foyer when dropping off or picking up their child. Please check in at the office and pick up a late slip if your child arrives after the bell. You can also speak with Ms. Smith if you need to pick up your child and she will page them to the office. If your primary-aged child arrives after the bell, a staff member will walk them to their class. Thanks for your help in ensuring everyone's safety.
Terry Fox Walk/Run
Sinclair Stingers will be participating in the Terry Fox Walk/Run at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22nd. Our school fundraising goal is $1,400.00. Please click on the link below if you would like to donate to this worthy cause.
Orange Shirt Day
Please remember that Orange Shirt Day is not a day of celebration but instead a day to mourn the lives lost at Canadian residential schools and the Survivors, as well as their families and communities. We are focusing on providing opportunities that exist beyond the day, and extend throughout the school year, so that as a community, we are continually taking action to live in right relations with each other.
