AVA Family UpdateOctober 26, 2025

Good morning AVA students and families,

The schedule, guidance updates, community updates, and important dates are all below as per usual.

Parent conferences are this Thursday evening. If you wish to schedule an appointment with a teacher, please go to this page, search for their name, and pick a time slot:

https://www.signupgenius.com/org/AHSConferences2025#/

Staff will follow up with a google meet link before conferences begin that will bring you to the virtual conference.

If there are no slots available to you that work for your schedule, just reach out to me and we can coordinate something between you and our staff.

SECOND NOTICE: Seniors, and current Juniors who hope to be promoted mid-year and still graduate this May: Attached below is a letter from the AHS Principal outlining the things you need to do to ensure a smooth graduation, whether you plan to participate in Senior Events or not. Please read it carefully and attend to the tasks assigned.

Thank you for your time.

Electric Boat - Job/Internship Opportunities, No Experience necessary!

General Dynamics Electric Boat in recent years has hired many Attleboro students and graduates for job and internship opportunities. A representative is tentatively scheduled to give a presentation on campus on Wednesday, December 17th from 9a-10a. They will then return on April 8th for an application day! This is a great career opportunity for AVA juniors and seniors interested in working right after graduating, or even college-bound students to gain hands-on experience in technology and engineering before pursuing higher education. There will be registration required for this event, so stay tuned and just mark your calendars for now. You can also click HERE to learn more about Electric Boat and its opportunities.

Online College Degrees and Programs

For AVA Seniors and families who are interested in pursuing virtual options for post-secondary education, more schools are starting to offer 100% online and hybrid degrees and certificate programs! Here is an inconclusive list of colleges with such programs and links to more info:

Anna Maria College

Bristol Community College

Fitchburg State University

MassBay Community College

UMass Dartmouth

UMass Lowell

FSA ID Night - Last Call!

Final reminder: On October 30th from 6pm-8pm, the AHS Guidance Dept. will be hosting an FSA ID night to help seniors and families complete the FSA ID for federal financial aid. Though it is the same night and time as Parent Teacher Conference Night, we welcome any AVA seniors and their families to join us on campus or make a virtual appointment with Ms Nellie for FSA ID help that night. Registration is required, so please click HERE to register.

As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have an incredible weekend!
