Teachers will meet students outside on the playground in the morning during the first week of school. As students get more comfortable with the routine, our 3 - 5 students will begin entering the building on their own when the 8:30 bell rings. Y5 - 2nd grade teachers will continue to meet their students on the playground.
Students will line up by class on their class bear paw once the 8:30 bell rings to come in. Bear paws are labeled by teacher name. If your student cannot read, please help them identify the color and placement of their class bear paw. (See pictures below).
Teachers will not dismiss Y5/K students without seeing the parent/guardian. For now, you must park and meet your child in the back of the school. Parking in the back of the school is for staff only.
Staff will be on duty in the morning to help Y5/K bus students get to the playground, breakfast, or class. Please ask for help if you need it!
- Assigned 5th-grade students and a teacher will help our Y5/K bus riders get to the correct bus at the end of the day.

Student Safety & Security--Playground Procedures
Families should plan for how you will separate from your student before school and unite with your student after school.that ensures that no adults are on the playground. This is important so we can monitor the safety of students. We will make exceptions for our littlest learners for the first week of school, but you must make a plan for the second week of school. Families are welcome on the playground at 4:00 after we have done a sweep to ensure no students are left behind. Thank you in advance for your help with this.
