Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Friday, October 25. This is an asynchronous day for students. Teachers will be sending out information on signing up for a conference time. If you need a translator for your conference, please email Carolyn Miner at minerc@myips.org as soon as possible.
Fall is here! Along with it, our annual Trunk or Treat community-wide event is coming up on Thursday, October 24, from 6-8 PM. A decorated car trunk contest, costumes, crafts, experiments, caramel apples, pumpkins, LOTS of candy and smiles are just a few of the things that make this event a beloved Sidener tradition. Sign up here to volunteer and/or donate something to help make the magic happen!
Basketball Coach Needed
In order to have a basketball team this year, we need someone who is willing to coach Boys 4/5 Basketball and/or someone to coach Girls 4/5 Basketball. Coaching is a PAID position of a $600 stipend and just requires a background check. The boys season runs from October 26-December 17, and the girls season runs January 11-February 12. If you're interested in coaching and helping Sidener have a basketball team this year, please reach out to Mr. Crighton at crightons@myips.org
Flexible Seating for 3rd Grade
HOORAY! Ms. Murphy's Donors Choose project is fully funded! You can still contribute to (or share) Ms. Miller's Donors Choose Project! Note from the Nurse
Sidener Academy will be hosting a Vaccine Clinic on Monday, October 28, from 2:00-6:00 PM. Franciscan Health Immunization Services will be providing vaccinations to any IPS student needing to update their immunization status as well as school staff and student families interested in receiving Covid and/or Flu shots. More information will be sent out with greater detail next week.
Bring in Your Plastic Lids
Fourth grader Mariyah Griffins is helping her sister (and former Sidener grad) Amirah collect lids for her high school recycling club. Please bring any CLEAN plastic lids or caps that are marked with a 2, 4, or 5 recycle symbol. Lids must be smaller than your hand. These are items such as medicine caps, drink caps, toothpaste tops, laundry soap tops, food container tops, etc. There will be a container marked for the lids near the Can Lady collection spot in the school entryway.
