Jefferson County 4-H

Thank you to everyone that helped in any way with the 2025 Jefferson County Fair! It was a great week of fun and learning and we hope you all had as much fun as we did! We would also like to thank all of the superintendents, families and individuals that helped make the fair run smoothly as it was a very successful year! It wouldn’t be possible without your hard work! Thank you!

State fair static exhibits and County Fair Awards are available to pick-up at the Extension Office. We need to clear out our meeting room, so items need to be picked up by Friday, September 19th!

It's time again to submit your 4-H Achievement Applications as the 4-H year nears completion.

The Achievement Application will be used at the state level to selection winners for 4-H Congress, Conference, scholarships, and other leadership opportunities that arise statewide. By having one single form that more closely resembles the kinds of questions being asked on college applications and in resumes, 4-H’ers will be better prepared to be college and job ready while keeping a record of the achievements.

All Achievement Applications are due in the office by Friday, November 14th! Let us know as you have questions.

Don’t forget that 4-H Council Senior Scholarships and Diamond Clover forms are all due in the office by Friday, November 14th. You must turn in an achievement application to be eligible for the 4-H Council Senior scholarship. The scholarship application form is attached here. If you need a copy of your Diamond Clover form that was submitted in April, please call the office and we can send it to you. Also, if you would like to have a copy of the application forms mailed to you please contact the office.

We have a YouTube channel for all of our Jefferson County 4-H videos from events and projects that you can check out anytime! Make sure to check it out and subscribe to our channel!

Join Nebraska 4-H as we go on-site to learn more about science, agriculture, technology, and more! Virtual Field Trips offer facility tours, educational experiences, and additional resources for teachers. Virtual Field Trips are perfect for youth in 7th-12th grades. Each session will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing. Youth do not need to be 4-H members to participate.

There are also numerous field trips that have been archived to view at your convenience. Check them out. See the link below to view of all the tours available.

We are looking for ideas for workshops in 2025-2026. We would like to hear ideas of what you would be willing to attend. We would also like to hear from you regarding what times would work best for most people, after school, 1⁄2 days when school is out, etc. Please contact the Extension Office 402-729-3487 and let us know what YOU are interested in.

We also hope to use this page to provide information about community outreach opportunities, scholarships, and research that is important to our followers.
