A Note from the Principal A Note from the Principal

Day 136/180

Just like that, we have wrapped up the ELA portion of MCAS testing this week, with students in grades 3, 6, and 7 completing their two sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Staff across all grade levels reported that students demonstrated strong effort and focus, which we greatly appreciate. Thank you to our families for reinforcing the importance of effort during testing. The time we spend analyzing student results helps us grow as educators and better support all learners.

Tomorrow, we officially wrap up this year’s Read-a-thon during our JMS Student Meeting. Thank you again to all of the families who contributed to this year’s fundraiser. Your generosity directly supports our PTO and the many opportunities they provide for our students.

Mark your calendars, as this Wednesday is the big night: Jacobs Has Talent! This year's show is shaping up to be one for the books, with incredible acts ranging from our fourth graders through our seventh graders, along with a few staff appearances mixed in. The level of creativity, courage, and preparation that goes into this show is always impressive, and it continues to be one of the most entertaining nights of the year. Of course, there is also the possibility of a visit from one of our famous pirates. Bluebeard? Captain Clean? The Reading Pirate? You will have to attend to find out. All proceeds will go directly to the Jacobs Student Activity Account, which is used exclusively to support student opportunities here at the Jacobs School. We hope to see a packed house for what is always a memorable night for our students and our community.

As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership. It is what allows us to create experiences like these and makes the Jacobs School such a special place for our students to learn, grow, and shine.
