We all feel the shame sometimes.

We have a lot going on, and our browser can take the brunt of it.

Chrome is a hugeeee hog of computer memory, and also a drain on our own memory.

A 2023 study on browser clutter found that disorganized tabs and too many elements on your screen correlate with higher error rates and inefficient navigation because users must mentally track many contexts.

So, let's clean it up. Try these!

One of the other tricks to dealing with space and not letting the tabs close!

Pinned tabs lets you keep tabs 'stuck' to the top of your browser window. Think of pinned tabs as your permanent dock for tools you use all day, every day. This could be your calendar, curriculum, or LMS.

I like to work in categories and not have everything open that I'm working on.

Tab groups are helpful because they provide a visual and functional way to organize large numbers of tabs into manageable categories, reducing clutter and improving focus.

Make a list, maybe check it twice. Or, at least, at some point

Reading List is a built-in tool that allows you to save web pages to read later, acting as a temporary repository for content you don't want to bookmark permanently.

However, it's hidden until you want to activate it! Type in Customize Chrome in the address bar to add it to your toolbar.

Sometimes, we didn't mean to close it.

Don't worry, it's not gone until you find it again.

Ctrl + Shift + t will reopen the most recently closed tab.

I think I use it about 6 times a day, no joke.
