Message from the Principal
One of my favorite parts of the Cornwall School community is the way our newest kinders are embraced. It seems that every first through fifth grader smiles warmly, stands a little taller, and is quicker to help when it comes to the kinders. One of the cardinal rules of our school is, Never break a kindergarten line. While our big kids might sometimes forget to keep two hands on their lunch tray, or walk while on the sidewalk, or tidy their indoor shoes before going to recess, it seems like no one forgets to take extra precaution while passing a kinder line.
Joyfully,
Nadya

Snapshots
Kindergarten
In the first two short weeks of school, our kinders have learned so much! They are learning how to navigate the building, how to play together, how to transition to circle spots safely and calmly, how we greet each other in Morning Meeting, how move with a lunch tray, and myriad other Cornwall School routines. They have practiced learning time at desks, circle spots, "audience style", and in All School Meeting. They have learned to navigate disagreements and how to ask an adult for help at recess. They're riding the bus and waiting their turn for pick-ups. They're laughing and dancing together.
