We are so excited to welcome our families in next week for American Education Week. Please see below for more details.

Rockburn is excited to celebrate American Education Week, November 17th – 21st.

We will be opening our doors to our families this year and hope that you are able to join us. To help accommodate our visitors and manage parking availability, we encourage you to visit based on the grade level days and times designated below. We know that is not always possible, but we thank you in advance for your consideration. A few reminders:

• We ask that you do not bring non-school age siblings, as it can be a distraction to the learning.

• Due to confidentiality, please do not take pictures or video of students, other than yours.

• Please sign in at the table in the front hallway and please make sure to wear your visitors badge at all times.

Kindergarten – Tuesday, November 18th 9:00 to 10:50am

First Grade – Monday, November 17th – 9:00am to 11:00am

Second Grade – Monday, November 17th – 9:00am to 10:40am

Third Grade – Cranberry Day! Monday, November 17th - 1:00 to 3:00pm

Fourth Grade – Monday, November 17th– 11:00 to 12:50

Fifth Grade – SCH Kickoff in the cafeteria Monday, November 17th 2:15 to 3:00

We are looking forward to our Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will take place on Monday, November 24th thru November 26th. For your planning purposes:

• All conferences will be with Homeroom/Language Arts teachers

• Monday, November 24th - All Conferences In-Person at RES

• Tuesday, November 25th - All Conferences Virtual - google link will be sent

• Wednesday, November 26th - All Conferences Virtual - google link will be sent

• The parent teacher conference sign-up window opens on Friday, November 7 at 8AM and closes on Thursday, November 20 at 4PM. Each conference is 15 minutes.

HOW IT WORKS:

If you would like to request holiday assistance for your immediate family, please complete the form below as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee any specific assistance, but we typically utilize connections with (1) Toys for Tots, (2) the HC Police Department- "Shop with a Cop" and (3) various school-based community donations. You will be requested to pick up any resources from Rockburn Elementary and/or other local community locations. All information will be provided as we receive it!

Please complete this form as soon as possible. This helps us with planning and coordination to ensure we are able to meet as many needs as possible. The deadline for holiday assistance request forms is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2025

Prize cart is back! Kids have the opportunity to trade in their tickets at the prize cart one week each month. We love to have two volunteers for each grade to help facilitate. If you are able/willing to volunteer, please use this sheet to sign up.

Our annual Holiday Shop is scheduled for December 12th. The Holiday Shop allows Rockburn students to purchase low-cost gifts for their family and friends right here at the school. Look for a volunteer sign-up link coming soon to help make this event successful.

Get ready to stock up on new books! Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will run from November 17th – November 24th. We need your help to make this event a success! The 2025-2026 PTA Membership Drive has begun. Your PTA contribution and membership helps fund many programs throughout the year such as Cultural Arts assemblies, Family Involvement events, Back to School Celebration, Fall Festival, Holiday Shop, Bingo Night, Movie Night, Sports Park NIght, 5th grade signature shirts, school gifts, staff appreciation, and enhancements to our recess and PE programs. All parents are encouraged to join the PTA.
