School's out for summer!!!

Big Walnut High School wishes your family a safe, relaxing and

wonderful summer. See you in August!

Summer Office Hours

Main Office Summer Hours:

The main office of the high school will be open from 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday until June 7th. From June 10th-July 19th, the main office will be open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-2:00pm. After July 19th, the main office will return to regular hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.

Counseling Office Summer Hours:

The Counseling Office secretary will be in the office from 8:00am- 2:00pm on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 11
Tuesday, June 25
Tuesday July 2
Tuesday July 16

Summer End-of-Course Testing Information

Please see the attached letter with information concerning opportunities for your student to receive remediation and additional testing opportunities for our state end-of-course exams. Remember, the points earned on these tests impact graduation eligibility for students.

Updates from the School Counseling Office

Taking Courses over the Summer???

Please remember:

All summer school transcripts need to be submitted to the counseling office the week prior to school starting (week of August 5).
If you are taking a course with a State of Ohio required End of Course exam, please e-mail Mrs. Bloomer (kelleybloomer@bwls.net). You must make arrangements to take these tests. BWHS will offer a testing opportunity in July. End-of-Course tests are given for Algebra I, Geometry, English 9, English 10, Biology, American History and American Government.

Summer College Visits:

Please go on college visits! Summer is a great time to get out and explore your options. Our counselors encourage you to visit both small and big schools.

2019-2020 Schedules:

Schedules will become available in August. You will be able to log in to PowerSchool to see your schedule. Honors and AP courses cannot be dropped so please be sure to complete all summer work by assigned due dates!
