A Message From Principal Abeal

As we approach the first day of winter, it is time to think about school closing and delayed openings due to inclement weather conditions. The district will be utilizing the Blackboard mass communication notification system to inform parents and guardians when the district must close its schools.

If school is closed, you may also check the following media sources:

District Website www.wallpublicschools.org

Social Media Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter

Television Station New Jersey Channel 12 NJN

Television Station New York Channel 5 Fox News

Station WJLK Asbury Park 1310 AM

Station WHTG Eatontown 1410 AM

Station WRAT South Belmar 95.9 FM

Please do not call the School Office or Board of Education Office for information regarding early school closings to make certain telephone lines are clear.

Remember when there is going to be a delayed opening you must stay tuned for additional updates. You must be familiar with your child’s bus pick up time to have them at the bus stop an hour or two after the usual pick-up time.

When school is closed due to bad weather or any other reason, the lunch planned for that day will be served when we return to school.

I wanted to remind everyone of several dates and school procedures to be cognizant as we approach the winter season.
