⭐STAAR ⭐
NO Visitors during STAAR weeks
KEY REMINDERS:
- Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast to help them focus tomorrow.
- If you want them to eat breakfast at school please arrive by 7:15 so your child has time to eat.
- All students need to be on time at school by 7:40 to ensure a prompt and successful day of testing.
BRING:
- Bring lots snacks (not messy). Lunch will be late (1 pm- 2 hours later than normal), so your child will want plenty of snacks. They will not be allowed to eat anything messy until after they are done testing.
- Great snack ideas: pretzels, goldfish, fruit snacks, granola bars, popcorn, etc.
- Messy snacks (eat AFTER testing only): fruit, yogurt, chips, anything requiring a spoon, etc.
- Please send a water bottle that is not likely to spill for testing.
- Comfortable clothes and a jacket/ sweatshirt. Our classroom is particularly cold!
- Lunch box if bringer
- Books to read AFTER testing
DO NOT BRING:
- Electronics (cell phone, watch, etc)
- Any electronic devices brought to school will be collected and will be held in the front office until the end of the day. We STRONGLY recommend leaving them at home.
- Backpack
- Students do not need anything other than snack, water, lunch, and books. We recommend leaving their backpack at home.
- Academic materials
- Please leave ALL academic materials at home!
*Important* STAAR Student Technology Oath
Dear Parents,
As the STAAR test approaches, we need your assistance in making sure that all third through fifth grade ocelots are aware of the technology restrictions during the test. Please read through the student technology oath and complete the Google form to show that you have spoken to your child about these expectations.
Completing the form is mandatory, and it is due April 11th.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued support.

Update: Collin County Adventure Camp
Dear Parents,
We want to inform you of an important change regarding our annual 5th grade overnight camp experience. After 19 years, Collin County Adventure Camp (CCAC) will no longer be available due to the YMCA and Collin County ending their partnership.
We remain committed to providing students with a meaningful outdoor learning experience, and we are actively exploring alternative options. We will keep you updated as we determine the best path forward.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Update: Birthday Treats
