Message from Superintendent Bill Kimball

As we begin the final week of the school year, there is a lot to celebrate across Maple Run.

On Saturday, we celebrated 208 Bellows Free Academy graduates as they crossed the stage and received their diplomas. It was a beautiful day, and the Collins Perley Sports & Fitness Center was filled with proud families, friends, staff members, and community members. Congratulations to the Class of 2026.

Thank you to everyone who helped make graduation such a special day for our students. Events like these take many hands, and we are grateful for the staff, volunteers, families, and community members who helped make it happen.

Today, our eighth-grade students at Fairfield Center School, Saint Albans City School, and Saint Albans Town Educational Center will celebrate a milestone of their own as they move on to high school. For many of these students, their journey with Maple Run began in PreK. After 11 years in our schools, they will walk across the stage one more time before beginning their high school years this fall. We look forward to welcoming them in August.

The final week of school is always a busy one. There are celebrations, field days, concerts, moving-up ceremonies, classroom traditions, and plenty of cleaning, organizing, and packing up for the summer.

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, I want to sincerely thank our students, staff, families, and community members for their support, involvement, and partnership throughout the year. The success of our schools is built on the relationships we share and the commitment so many people make each day to support our students. We are fortunate to be part of a community that values education and works together to help children learn, grow, and succeed.

I hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break. Thank you for being part of Maple Run, and thank you for all you do to support our students and schools.

As the school year comes to a close, take a moment to recognize all that you've accomplished. The final weeks can be busy and exhausting, so remember to give yourself credit for the work you've done and the difference you've made.

As summer begins, try to make time for the things that help you recharge—whether that's spending time outdoors, connecting with family and friends, reading a good book, getting active, or simply enjoying a slower pace.

Rest is productive, too.

Wishing everyone a healthy, relaxing, and enjoyable summer.
