Derrick Centeno: Coal Ridge High School Graduate 2025
Since joining Bishop in March 2025, he’s been absolutely crushing his on-the-job training! After a year of hard work and hands-on experience, he’s officially ready to take the wheel. We are thrilled to see him jump into his own van and start running calls—let’s get this show on the road! Congratulation Derrick, you are a great role model and amazing mentor to all.

As the seasons flew by, his passion caught fire—he found himself absolutely captivated by the powerhouse world of diesel maintenance and repair! He’s officially leveled up, turning that initial spark into a full-blown career path!
Stutsman-Gerbaz is absolutely thrilled to champion Kolton’s incredible journey! Recognizing his powerhouse work ethic and his brilliant, "natural-born" talent for understanding the mechanics of the world, the team took action to fuel his potential.
By pairing Kolton with world-class master mentors and curating a series of dynamic, hands-on learning adventures, they haven't just taught a skill—they've ignited a career! It’s a beautiful example of what happens when raw talent meets dedicated mentorship.

As Kolton develops his skills as a Diesel Mechanic, Matt’s mentorship centers on the vital importance of hands-on learning, ensuring that Kolton doesn't just understand the theory but masters the physical grit of the trade. A-1 Heating-Cooling-Plumbing: Offering SUMMER-FALL-SPRING Work-Based Learning Opportunites.
A-1 Heating-Cooling-Plumbing is a locally owned, 3-generation company serving Rifle, Co and surrounding areas since 1987.
They provide 24/7 emergency service for HVAC and plumbing needs, including heating repairs, installations, and plumbing services.
A-1 is being honored as the 2026 #1 Best Plumbing Company in Garfield County Local's Choice!
CRBOCE is excited to partner with A-1 as we create additional Work-Based Learning Opportunities for the student of Rifle HS and Coal Ridge HS.
Summer Session:
Exploration of the Plumbing Trade.
1st & 2nd Week of June
Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday
Times: 9:00-1:00 pm
4 hours/per/day.
Total HRS.= 24
Class Size limited to 10 students.
$100 Gas card awarded to those students who demonstrate: Prepared-Polite-Productive-Professional (soft skill sets).
Possible Summer Employment for the "Right Fit".
