Here's What's Happening This Month:
Winter Parent Teacher Conferences: Thursday, February 5th 3:45-5:15 PM. Please be on the look out for a Trimester 2 Progress report from your child's teacher and information on how to set up an in- person or phone conference.
Second Session of our Extended Day - Academic support begins on Tuesday February 3rd and will run until the end of March . If you are interested in enrolling your child for academic support, please let your child's teacher know, we still have limited space available. Extended Day will run Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:25pm-5pm.
This program will provide targeted intervention in Math and English Language Arts to support students' academic growth. Participation in this program is a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen important skills in a small group setting.
NFCSD Science Fair and Abate Family STEM night is right around the corner. Tuesday February 10th 5:30PM. Please join in the fun; complete a STEM passport to be entered into a drawing for STEM prizes, featuring family friendly STEM activities and Pop-up shops Makers Market.
The following events are supported by your Fall fundraising efforts:
Winter Attendance Challenge begins February 2nd and runs until March 27th: Let's continue to make attendance a priority!!! All students have an opportunity to be entered into a drawing for various attendance incentives for improved or near perfect attendance. Items in the drawing may include treats for the classroom, Abate T-Shirts, Movie in the Forum and/or gift cards.
Black History Month activities and celebrations will run throughout the month to include an interactive assembly with She Drums for students.
