Welcome Warhawk Class of 2029 Students and Families!

It is with great pride and gratitude that I welcome you to Westerville Central High School. As I begin my fourth year as principal, I reflect on the incredible relationships we’ve built, the strong culture we continue to shape, and the exceptional experiences we provide for our students. This is truly a special place.

At WCHS, one of our top priorities is cultivating a positive and purposeful school culture. We believe that culture doesn’t happen by chance—it happens by choice. You don’t get the culture you want; you get the culture you lead. That’s why we’re committed to being intentional, purposeful, and skillful in everything we do. Every interaction matters, and everyone contributes to the culture we’re building together.

Since August 2022, we’ve been on a culture journey that has brought together students, staff, families, and community members to identify what truly defines us. Through meaningful conversations and collaboration, we established three core values—the heart of our Warhawk community—known as the Warhawk Blueprint:

These values serve as our foundation. They guide our decisions, define our expectations, and align our actions. With the support of our Warhawk Culture Playbook, we are united in a shared vision and a common language that will carry us forward for years to come.

As you join our community, know that we are excited to partner with you on this journey. Freshmen First Flight-August 13th

Hello 9th Grade Parents!

We are thrilled to welcome your child to Westerville Central High School and can’t wait to see them at our 9th Grade Freshmen First Flight on Wednesday, August 13th from 7:25 AM – 2:05 PM here at Central.

We have an exciting and meaningful day planned to help your student start their high school journey on the right foot. They’ll have the opportunity to meet their teachers, administrators, support staff, and—most importantly—their Link Crew Leaders. These upperclassmen mentors will help guide and support your student throughout their first year. You can learn more about Link Crew below.

What is Link Crew?

Link Crew is a nationally recognized program designed to support freshmen as they transition into high school. Each 9th grader is matched with trained junior and senior Link Leaders—positive role models who are carefully selected for their leadership and character. These students will be a familiar face and a reliable resource for your child all year long.

Here are a few important reminders for orientation day:

No backpacks, purses, or large items are needed—this is an active, movement-filled day.
Comfortable clothing and shoes are strongly recommended to help your student participate fully in all activities.
