Principal Message
Dear Families,
Have you joined ABC 25 yet? ABC 25 is a non-for-profit foundation that provides funds, raised via membership dues and fundraising activities, for educational enhancement in District 25. We are excited to share that 5 of our grants submitted for the 25-26 school year received funding. Two of the grants were specific to OMS and three were written by several individuals across D25 and support all D25 elementary schools!
Additionally, if 25% of our parent community becomes a member, our school is awarded $2500 to be used at the school's discretion. Please consider becoming a member today by CLICKING HERE!
We also encourage you to join the PTA! Our PTA provides invaluable support to our students and staff throughout the year, we want everyone to be a part of it. Our students enjoyed a PTA sponsored assembly this week! PTA Website
We wish you and your families a wonderful week off. During this season of gratitude, we are thankful for all of YOU!
We will see you all back at the nest on Monday, December 1st!
Sincerely,
Erin, Julia, and the OMS Staff
Help for the Holidays
The holidays are quickly approaching, and we have families in our OMS community that can use a little extra help during the holiday season. Please contact us if your family is one that would benefit from this assistance. Gifts or gift cards will be collected to distribute to families who respond by December 5th. Reach out to one of our social workers by confidential voicemail or email listed below.

Updated Lunch Menu - Dec. 1st - March 20th
Winter Science Club!
Science Club is back with two sessions, meeting on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, January 13th through February 25th. We’re offering hands-on science adventures for students in grades two through five; first grade students may participate if an older sibling is enrolled in Science Club AND an adult can volunteer to help every day that the first grade student attends.
We meet from 3:35 until 4:45 PM in the LMC.
Session 1: Electricity and Electronics (four weeks)
Experiment with wet-cell batteries, vegetable batteries, metal electrodes, electronic components, Snap Circuits, and much more.
Session 2: Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils (three weeks)
Experience hands on activities with rocks, minerals, and fossils. We’ll make small collections to take home.
Want to join in the fun? Then complete and return the registration form as soon as possible. Please make a copy of the form to fill it out. Sessions can fill up very quickly. The number of students per session is dependent on the number of adult volunteers.
To ensure that we’re able to provide a safe and enjoyable activity at least two adults will be present each day. Any days that do not have at least one adult volunteer will be cancelled. Please consider signing up to help on one or more days as your schedule allows.
Questions? Please contact Cynthia House at chouse@sd25.org.
