Tech Theatre Class: Monster Mania
Introduction to Technical Theatre and Advanced Technical Theatre have been working hard on bringing the Monster Project to life! This is a partnership project with Wellington Elementary where the kindergarten students draw pictures of imaginative monsters for the Lafayette Theatre Tech classes to bring to life! After a sewing unit, students have used their new skills, fleece, and a lot of hard work to turn these drawings into real life stuffed animals!
In May the classes will go on a field trip to Wellington to give the monsters to the kindergarten creators, everyone is so excited for this event! Check out three monsters created by Laura, Ellie, and Ru in class, you can see their creation with the picture that inspired it!
Intro to Theatre and Theatre 2 Updates!
Intro to Theatre is currently selecting, analyzing, and blocking scenes from plays of their choice! IT is so fun to see them transferring the knowledge gained in the monologue units over to scenes while working collaboratively with peers to tell a story! Their final performance will be in Beeler Auditorium on Tuesday, May 12th 6:00 (A4) and 7:00 (B3). Everyone is welcome to attend! Please note that students in class need to be in Beeler 30 minutes before their performance!
Our Theatre 2 class is beginning rehearsal for our ten minute plays that will perform on May 14th at 6:00 pm! These projects are always so much fun to see come to life! The students are given longer pieces to analyze, memorize, stage, and rehearse! This class is eager to collaborate and bring these projects to life! Please note that students in class need to be in Beeler 30 minutes before their performance!
