Research supports that daily school attendance positively impacts academic achievement and social and emotional well-being. With your participation in prioritizing your child(rens)’s school attendance, we can ensure that each student fulfills their greatest potential in school and life. This year, thanks to the collaboration and commitment of our families, students, and staff, we saw an increase in our attendance rates. However, there is still an opportunity for us to grow our attendance rates to 95%.

Our principals have prioritized working with our families to overcome challenges in student attendance. Please reach out to your child(ren)’s principal to discuss any challenges your family may be facing. Together, we are better.

In service,

Dr. Willie E. Garrison II

School District of Beloit Superintendent

BMHS Jazz Orchestra - Essentially Ellington BMHS Jazz Orchestra - Essentially Ellington

Congratulations to our Beloit Memorial High School Jazz Orchestra! For the 12th time in 15 years, they will represent our district at the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition. Hundreds of high school bands across the country compete for one of only 15 spots. This is the most prestigious competition for high school jazz students/musicians in our country. We thank and recognize Mr. Chris Behrens and our Jazz Orchestra students for their dedication and commitment to jazz music and for representing our district on a national level. When hard work meets talent, anything is possible.
