Welcome Back!

Principal's Message
Dear Repetto Families,
Welcome back to another amazing school year at Repetto School! I hope you had a wonderful summer break and had opportunities to create new memories, but also a chance to rest and recharge. We are thrilled to welcome back our returning Roadrunner families and extend a warm greeting to those joining our school community for the first time. As we begin this new school year together, we look forward to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can grow, achieve, and thrive.
We are excited to see and greet our students for the new school year on Thursday, August 13. For the first day of school only, parents will be allowed to enter campus and walk their students to their classroom. Please remember that the first day is a minimum day dismissal with the following dismissal times:
- TK/Kindergarten end at 12:06pm
- Grades 1st - 3rd end at 12:16pm
- Grades 4th - 8th end at 12:36pm
Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey and give feedback about parent workshops and family activities. If you visit the Repetto website you will find the Bell Schedule, list of minimum days, Repetto Handbook, supply lists (under grade level tab), and more information.
Class assignments will be available in Parent Portal by 5 pm on August 12. We will also have classroom rosters printed and posted in front of the school at 4:30 pm on August 12.
Thank you for your continued partnership and supportβwe can't wait to see all that our students will accomplish this year. Here's to a wonderful year of learning, friendship, and success!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wright

If you are interested please submit your information here until August 21. Elections for new parent members will be held online the last week of August with our first SSC meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 2 at 5:00pm.
- SSC meets virtually once a month on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5:00pm - 6:00pm in Zoom. We review student progress, develop schoolwide goals, determine Repetto's Title I budget allocation, and approve expenditures to meet our goals.

- English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)
- The English Language Advisory Committee is comprised primarily of parents of students who are English Language Learners, although it is open to all parents to join. ELAC meets 3-4 times a year. The main goals of ELAC are to review progress for ELLs, give input to School Site Council, and parent/family outreach. More information will be shared when meeting dates and times are available.

AIFπ²(Alternate Income Form) - Window Open Now for 2026 - 2027 School Year
AIF window is open until September 20, 2026.
The annual window for completing the Alternate Income Form (AIF) is now open. We are asking ALL Repetto families to complete this form, regardless of eligibility.
Why is this needed?
- The collection of household income information is a necessary step for AUSD to receive thousands of dollars in federal funds for the school your child attends. ALL families should complete the Alternative Income Form (AIF), irrespective of their household income. One AIF is needed for each student.
- Repetto's Title 1 Funding is used to provide academic intervention programs, classroom technology, ensure translation is available for families to communicate with school, and help provide parent engagement opportunities.
How can I complete the AIF?
- Log in to Parent Portal - when you first log in, you will be prompted to complete the AIF Google form.
- Go directly to this Google form link (available with translations in 4 languages).
- Paper forms are available in the Repetto school office (available with translations in 4 languages).
- Repetto office staff will be calling families who have not yet completed the AIF.
CAASPP and Summative ELPAC Score Reports
As CAASPP and Summative ELPAC score reports become available this summer, we encourage families to log in to the Parent Portal to access their student's results. These assessment reports provide valuable information about your child's academic progress and English language development for English Learners.
To help families better understand their child's results, Starting Smarter and the Parent Guides to Understanding provide helpful, family-friendly resources. Starting Smarter offers tools and information to help you interpret your child's score report, identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth, and support learning at home. The Parent Guides to Understanding, available in nine languages, explain what the assessments measure, why they are given, who participates, how they are administered, and when they take place. Together, these resources can help families better understand their child's progress and support meaningful conversations with teachers about continued learning and success both at school and at home.

AUSD & Repetto Policy Reminders
School Uniforms
Repetto and all AUSD TK-8th grade schools have mandatory school uniforms requirements. Uniforms are to be worn daily (except for site designated spirit days).
- Pants/shorts/skirts/jumpers: Navy blue or khaki
- Shirts/blouses: Navy blue, white, or burgundy (Repetto school color)
- Cardigans/Sweatshirts: Navy blue, white, or burgundy
To be exempt from the Districtwide Mandatory Uniform Policy, the parent or guardian must meet with the principal to discuss and sign the exemption form. No student will be penalized in any way for failing to wear a uniform for reasons of financial hardship. Assistance will be provided by contacting the school office.
Students with an authorized exemption and those who are participating in spirit days must comply with District dress standards including school appropriate shoes (closed-toe, backing, rubber soles).
Please see pages 27-28 of the AUSD Parent & Student Handbook for more detailed information.
"Off & Away" - Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
While we recognize that many students have devices for safety and communication with parents, we ask that devices are set in silent or airplane mode and put away during school hours. This includes smart watches. Click here for more information about AUSD's "Off & Away" policy regarding electronic devices at school.
We do not allow students to use their phones during recess/lunch. We encourage students to play and socialize instead. Repetto and AUSD are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Toys & Other Items Not Needed for Learning
Please ensure that students are not bringing items to school that are not necessary for learning. Many times, these items become a distraction during teaching, cause disagreements between peers, or get lost or damaged.
Students should only be bringing to school the following items: materials needed for classroom learning, snacks and/or lunch (to be consumed in the cafeteria/lunch benches), water bottles, and charged Chromebooks (if teachers have them taken home).
No Food Drop Offs
AUSD has a strict policy in place for no food drop offs for students. All students get a free meal during recess and lunch from the cafeteria if they forget their lunch at home. The office staff cannot accept food items and interrupt class instruction to deliver food.
For classroom holiday celebrations, teachers will coordinate with parents to determine specific times that they can meet you to pick up food items being dropped off for the class event.
Construction updates π·π»ββοΈ
Kindergarten Fence
Many of you will notice that our Kindergarten fence has been extended! Facilities worked hard to complete this project quickly over the summer. Previously, the only entrance to the Kindergarten playground was through the TK classes. So Kindergarten students would have to walk through Ms.Hoang's or Ms. Alcaraz's TK classes to get to the playground. Now our Kindergarten classes have easier access!
Playground Permanent Shade Structure
Facilities is in the process of approving and installing a large rectangular permanent shade structure near the Lower Playground. This will be a welcome addition for our students since the large expanse of black asphalt can get very hot. I do not have an update on the timeline for completion but we are eagerly looking forward to this!
Electronic Marquee
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for our electronic marquee. I have not been given an updated timeline. Be aware that when they start preparing for installation of the marquee, they will have to do some construction trenching in the circular driveway in front of the school.
Until then, continue to check the Repetto Website and the embedded Google calendar for up to date information about school events!
School Uniforms Donation Drive
Donation Drive for Gently-Used Uniforms!
Do you have clean and gently-used uniforms that your child has outgrown? Please consider donating them to Repetto. We would like to have a supply of various sizes on hand to provide to students when they need a change of clothes or are in need of extra uniforms. We will have collection boxes set up in front of the school and at the valet gate from Thursday, August 13 to Friday, August 21.

AEF's 21st Annual Shopping Extravaganza
MARK YOUR CALENDARS - 13th Annual Pumpkin Run 2026
The 13th annual Pumpkin Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 25th. Proceeds from this fun community event will benefit the Alhambra Educational Foundation. Register early online for early bird prices.

Canopy donations needed
With the increasingly hot weather, we would like to make sure we have more shade for students outside. With money raised from last year's schoolwide catalog fundraiser we purchased six 10'x20' canopies. Unfortunately, we have had 5 of them break over time due to damage from the weather and only have 1 left.
If you are interested in donating, Amazon has some here that can be ordered and delivered directly to Repetto. Thank you for your consideration!
Donate to the Speedway Store! π
Help our PTA keep the student store well-stocked for our Roadrunners' monthly shopping trips! The items listed in the flyer are popular requests from students. You are welcome to order directly from PTA's Amazon wish list or purchase items and drop them off in the school office at anytime. Students enjoy shopping with their Beep Bucks and appreciate your support of the Speedway Store!
