Good morning, Cannon families,
What an AMAZING first full week! A Legacy Cake Surprise, Education Foundation Teacher Gift Card Giveaways, Spirit Gear Friday, Curriculum Night, and our PTA Back to School Bash! The week was full of excitement! A HUGE THANK YOU to our PTA for arranging a great night of community building and FUN for our Cannon Cub Community! Thanks to a generous donation from All State insurance our Cubs had a blast welcoming our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Bailey. Our school spirit was on full display!
Teachers will share grade-level Curriculum Night presentations with you for your reference. Please understand that we are in desperate need to raise PTA funds so that we can continue to support our STEMtastic experiences for our Cubs. One of the biggest contributions PTA helps with is reducing costs of field trips, and we all know how much our Cubs love experiential learning experiences! We welcome all interested Cannon parents to join us for our first PTA Principal Coffee Friday, September 6th at 9:15 in our Cafe. Bring your coffee, and our PTA will provide muffins, as we chat about our partnership to support our school needs.

This Friday, we celebrate National College Colors Day! Make sure your scholar dresses in their favorite college gear or Cannon spirit gear. We will have our beginning of year pep rally, and we can not wait to elevate our four core STEM pillars - Curriculum, Culture, Community, and College, Career, Military Readiness. WE ARE CANNON PROUD!
🐾 🍱 Skyward Approved Lunch Visitors Begin Tuesday, September 3 - Loved ones may eat with their Cub ONLY on the banquet side - no friends. All visitors are expected to visibly wear their visitor badge during the entirety of the lunch visit, and please make sure to clean up your area after eating. Make sure to head toward the office to leave at the end of lunch; Instructional time is in progress and this is not a time to walk around. As a reminder, lunch visitors may not take pictures with our our Cannon scholars in the background.

We have a new Dads Club shirt available for purchase. The link below is live through August 30th but please act fast to ensure you don't miss the order window.
We need ALL of our Cannon community to participate in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Calendar Fundraiser. It's simple - Pick a Day and Pay that Amount! You can select a day (or more). We need to fill up a calendar for each classroom teacher, specials teacher, and our special services teachers. We know our public schools need our help - The aim of our PTA is to fundraise sufficient funds to support our teachers and our Cubs. Prizes will be awarded to each grade-level reaching our $2,000 goal and the top earning class in each grade level will also receive a prize! Our PTA must fundraise to create a budget to support our school. Our PTA does so much for our students, but without a budget we will not be able to fulfill and support our school needs.
