Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope all the children had a lovely half-term break. It has been wonderful to see everyone return refreshed, enthusiastic, and ready for another busy and exciting half-term of learning.

This Week This Week

The Prince of Wales Hospice

On Tuesday, we welcomed representatives from the Prince of Wales Hospice, who led an engaging assembly for the whole school.

The Annual Reindeer Run will be on Monday, 8th December!

Children will be bringing home sponsor forms, which contain information about the run and a bit about the Hospice and the amazing work they do for our community. The link to donate online for the Reindeer Run is: https://fundraising.pwh.org.uk/fundraising-group/reindeer-run-2025-

Alternatively, if sponsors would rather give cash, they are welcome to. All cash donations must be brought into school in a sealed envelope with your child’s name clearly written on it.

Thank you for your support.

Poppy Appeal

Throughout the week, our pupil leaders have also been selling poppies and wristbands in school to raise money for the Poppy Appeal. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so generously.

Remembrance Sunday

This Sunday, our Year 6 pupil leaders will proudly represent Larks Hill at the Remembrance Day Service in Pontefract. They will be laying a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of the school. We are very proud of them for taking on this responsibility with such maturity and respect. We will be holding our two minutes silence in school on Tuesday 11th at 11am.

Anti Bullying Week

Next Monday marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week. Throughout the week, pupils will take part in a range of engaging activities that promote kindness and respect. To show their support, pupils are invited to wear odd socks on Monday as a fun reminder that it’s good to be different.

Children in Need

Children in Need is on Friday 14th November, this will be a non-uniform day with donations for this to be made on our Just giving page here: https://tinyurl.com/yknf7xuf

We will also be doing our popular Pudsey’s Pennies! Children can bring in in any loose change to cover our giant Pudsey picture.
