Parent Update
Watertown High School
Parent Update 4.4.25
It was great to welcome our students back to WHS after Spring Break this week! Be sure to review the updates below as there are many important events happening in the coming weeks.
A friendly reminder to families that on Wednesday, April 9th only 9th and 10th grade students will report to school for the administration of the PreACT exam. We look forward to a fantastic test administration on Wednesday, April 9th and thank our students as well as staff for their hard work in preparation for this important assessment. Students are reminded to be on time as testing will begin at 8 a.m. and to bring their WUSD Chromebook with them.
Families are reminded that Rooms is live for all WHS classes during trimester 3. We are asking all parents and guardians to please download the Watertown USD app (if you have not done so already) or log into edurooms.com on your desktop computer. If you choose to view Rooms through the app, please make sure you turn on notifications. This is important, as we don't want any families to miss out on future communications from their student's teachers or coaches.
Have a great weekend!

Chromebook Reminders
At Watertown Unified School District, we are committed to upholding a tradition of academic excellence while embracing innovation and transformation in the ways our students learn. As we approach standardized state assessment season, it is more important than ever to ensure that students are practicing healthy Chromebook habits to maximize their success.
We ask for your partnership in reinforcing the following essential habits at home:
Charge Nightly – Ensure your child’s Chromebook is fully charged each night so they are ready for learning each day.
Bring It Every Day – Students should bring their Chromebook to school daily and take it home each night for proper care and charging.
Create a Focused Learning Environment – Encourage Chromebook use in a quiet, distraction-free space.
Monitor Usage – Regularly check your child’s online activity to promote responsible digital citizenship.
Encourage Breaks – Remind your child to take screen breaks to reduce eye strain and maintain focus.
Handle with Care – Chromebooks are valuable learning tools. Remind students to transport and store them safely.
With assessments approaching, these habits are key in helping students stay prepared, engaged, and successful. Thank you for your continued support in fostering responsible technology use. Together, we are preparing our students for a future of limitless possibilities.
